The views are something to see. This trail is a part of the Equinox Preserve. Parking was difficult to find- don't follow your phone's GPS. Search for West Union (street or road, I forget which) and drive up it until you see parking on the right. Make sure you don't park in front of the Red Gate. Additional parking is supposedly behind the town's post office.
I did the Pond Loop, the SVAC loop, and parts of Trillium trail. I also hiked up to Robin's Lookout. The lookout spot overlooks the pond, and you're able to see the Green Mountains. Gorgeous.
Unfortunately, these trails are extremely buggy! I had myself covered in bug spray, but it didn't matter. Three to four bugs circled my head the entire time so the majority of my hike was spent swatting at the air around me. It got so frustrating, we weren't able to enjoy ourselves anymore. Maybe bring bug spray with you as you hike, but I doubt that'll help much. read more
