I noticed that they posted some pictures of the work they had done. We had no issues with the painting they completed, but with the lack of scraping of flaking paint and only completing about half the house. Notice on my photos that they never completed their job. They did not do the trim, and in some areas only did one coat of paint.
Same experience as others.... they seemed really nice, friendly when they were giving us the quote. We chose them over another painter who gave us the same $ quote. Big mistake.
They wanted to start a week we were not going to be in town (middle of August) and we said that we did not feel comfortable having them start when we would not be at home. The pushed it off and said they would start end of August. Then came the excuses and middle of September came and went, still had not started. They finally came and only pressure washed 1/5 of the house after telling us they would do it all.... not needed they said.... it would make too much of a mess... I believe by Sept 30 Liz may have been here a few times. But lots of excuses "truck doesn't work" " we have kids this week" "dog is hurt" "kids have medical issues". What she did when she was here looked good. But she came very infrequently. Some times here and then the next day when weather was perfect... she did not show. Lots of promisses and apologies during our communications. But still they would not show up. They painted all the easy parts (some of house had new wood) and did almost no scraping and painting on the older parts. No trim was done. We even got the same "well the price we gave you is lower than what we usually charge" that other reviewers did.
By October 22, we were asking if they planned on finishing the house... maybe half of house was finished, a wall here, half of wall there- and they had taken their ladder away.. One coat here, 2 coats there, and No trim. Weather was starting to be too cold and they said not to worry, they would be able to paint to up to 40 degrees, and not to worry, it would only take "up to 3 days with both of them working" (Bill never did come again after the initial pressure wash). Liz said he was the one who did the scraping and trim.
By November we gave them a deadline and they had 2 weeks to find "up to 3 days with both of them working" to finish. Well, it came and went and at the end of the deadline, we told them that we were finished with them. We got an email back asking if they could finish up the clapboards, and do the trim in the spring first thing. I am sure they only offer us that so IF we took them to small claims, they could say that they 'offered' to make us happy...
We said, NO THANKS. Weather was not even warm enough by them.
I would NOT recommend them for anything except an Oscar. read more
