I would give ProSource of Sarasota less than one star if it was an option. They have terrible customer service and do not stand behind their product. I sent emails, texts and made phone calls with absolutely no results. They blamed Mullican for their policy, but when I called Mullican, they said it was ProSource, not them, so someone is lying. I bought 1,200 square feet of natural oak engineered hardwood based on a 3x4 ' sample that showed a beautiful floor with pieces of wood that were similar in color and grain. As the installers were working, they called me to look because they were concerned I might not like the extreme differences in pieces of wood. The wood varied from an almost spruce like light color to a dark walnut like color. These dark and light pieces were not shown on the sample. When I called and complained, ProSource said that's what you get with natural wood. I said their sample was not representative of the product and they had no comment. I told them, I had owned 7 houses with hardwood floors over 40 years and had some of them installed. Never, had I seen anything so extreme in variation. I actually like the variation in natural wood, but this looked like 3 different floors. My installers resorted to sorting the boxes of wood to find pieces of similar hue, but by the end of the second day, told me I needed to order more wood. I had to order 10 more boxes to get enough pieces that worked together. I ended up paying the installers an additional $1,500 for the extra time it took them to sort. I also have ended up with 18 extra boxes of wood that I cannot use. Here is the catch 22. If you open the box, they will not take it back, so you cannot look to see if the wood in the box is acceptable without paying for it. This job turned out to coast thousands of dollars more than it should have. ProSource takes no responsibility for the product they sell, even though it doesn't look anything like the sample. I told them I would have to write a negative review and they said, "do what you have to do". I guess they just don't care, but please don't buy from them and risk putting yourself in my position.
