I would give ProSource of Sarasota less than one star if it was an option. They have terrible customer service and do not stand behind their product. I sent emails, texts and made phone calls with absolutely no results. They blamed Mullican for their policy, but when I called Mullican, they said it was ProSource, not them, so someone is lying. I bought 1,200 square feet of natural oak engineered hardwood based on a 3x4 ' sample that showed a beautiful floor with pieces of wood that were similar in color and grain. As the installers were working, they called me to look because they were concerned I might not like the extreme differences in pieces of wood. The wood varied from an almost spruce like light color to a dark walnut like color. These dark and light pieces were not shown on the sample. When I called and complained, ProSource said that's what you get with natural wood. I said their sample was not representative of the product and they had no comment. I told them, I had owned 7 houses with hardwood floors over 40 years and had some of them installed. Never, had I seen anything so extreme in variation. I actually like the variation in natural wood, but this looked like 3 different floors. My installers resorted to sorting the boxes of wood to find pieces of similar hue, but by the end of the second day, told me I needed to order more wood. I had to order 10 more boxes to get enough pieces that worked together. I ended up paying the installers an additional $1,500 for the extra time it took them to sort. I also have ended up with 18 extra boxes of wood that I cannot use. Here is the catch 22. If you open the box, they will not take it back, so you cannot look to see if the wood in the box is acceptable without paying for it. This job turned out to coast thousands of dollars more than it should have. ProSource takes no responsibility for the product they sell, even though it doesn't look anything like the sample. I told them I would have to write a negative review and they said, "do what you have to do". I guess they just don't care, but please don't buy from them and risk putting yourself in my position. I thought they were a quality store, but Lumber Liquidators, Lowes and Home Depot are so much more honest and put ProSource to shame. The staff of proSource are very knowledgeable responsive and they have cabinets designer on hand to maximize your kitchen space. Sam in the flooring tiles department is superb, super knowledgeable to guide you in the right path. Kacey and Jennifer the designer in cabinetry are a team who guides us through the design. Prices and direct contact with proSource personnel is the key. Less headache prices below the big boy and the mark up done by the other stores. Highly recommended. read more

First of all, they are getting one star because it wouldn't let me post otherwise. I would like to give them negative stars. Pro Source of Sarasota has to be one of the worst companies in America & their employee, KC Campbell helps solidify this ranking. She is dishonest, won't return calls or answer emails. We were told at time of purchase that ALL overage flooring could be easily returned for refund. However, when it came time to return, she said she didn't think Mohawk would take it back. This was about a month ago and she has not responded to our calls or emails since. This type behavior from her has been typical since purchase. I wouldn't even walk in this store again to urinate on their floor. Trust me, very nice and accommodating at first, then nothing after they get your money. DON'T BE FOOLED! read more

The overall experience is less than 0 stars - but I have to give a star to comment. Customer service is non-existent. To say that the management team & employees at Pro Source of Sarasota are unprofessional is an understatement. Overpriced, poorly made, broken cabinets, & poor follow-up skills results in a bad combination. No one answers emails, answers phone calls. When you do get someone to return an email, they are aggressive, accusatory & simply unprofessional. Don't waste your time, energy or money with this group. I needed 1500 square feet of tile for my house and was looking for a modern 12x24 floor tile. Prosource had one of the largest flooring collections in Sarasota. The salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. I was able to take many samples home, with no pressure to return them quickly, and they were happy to contact the vendor to get fresh samples, so I knew the tile I ordered was the one I was going to get. Prosource also beat the prices of other Sarasota flooring stores (the tile I chose is carried by many vendors whose price quotes varied enormously) by $1.00-$2.75 per square foot.
