Quest Diagnostics - I want to express my disappointment with the service I received during my recent visit to your 340 CBL Dr, St. Augustine FL 32086 facility on August 16, 2024. I had an appointment scheduled for 12:40 PM but was not called in until 1:25 PM. Despite the significant delay, no one informed me that the staff was running late. I had a subsequent doctor's appointment at 2:00 PM, which put me under considerable stress, worrying that I might miss it. I was there for a blood panel service, and the experience I had with the technician was far from satisfactory. Not only did she jab me multiple times, causing significant bruising, but she also drew blood from my bicep vein, which was a first for me. I have never had blood drawn from that area before, and the resulting bruising was severe, as shown in the attached pictures. Moreover, after the blood draw, the technician simply placed a band-aid over the puncture site and sent me on my way. In my experience, the standard procedure involves applying pressure to the puncture site for a couple of minutes before bandaging, but this was not done. For comparison, I recently had blood work done at another diagnostic center, and it left only a needle point mark without any bruising. Additionally, I want to bring to your attention the difficulties I encountered when trying to schedule my appointment. The toll-free number provided for Quest Diagnostics was virtually impossible to reach. I attempted to call multiple times but never got through, nor did I receive a callback. I trust that Quest Diagnostics values patient care and service, so I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address these concerns to improve the experience for others in the future. read more
