lovely ambiance, including walking through the showroom downstairs, but the food and service felt mediocre, especially at these prices. i think our favorite dishes were the caviar starters we tried: impossibly thin house made chips and dip with 15g caviar ($52) and 2 mini lobster rolls with caviar, 10g ($34). i was pleasantly surprised by the chips and dip; it is expensive but at least felt well done. the lobster rolls were even smaller than i expected despite looking at a lot of yelp photos - they just look tinier in real! but still delish.
then we had the grilled shrimp and vegetable salad ($36), the shaved ribeye dip ($32), and truffle fries ($20). these all felt overpriced and i wasn't a fan of the bread on the ribeye dip.
for dessert we ordered the caramelized banana split, which was good but pretty simple. i had hoped to get a complimentary cookie since we were celebrating an occasion but although the hosts greeted us, our server really didn't interact with us much other than just taking our orders and clearing plates. read more
