Such a beautifully bougie spot! It's the perfect destination for a lunch date or a girls get together. It's located on the top floor with a luxury hotel feel, and with the patio doors open, the space was wonderfully bright and airy. The interior is sophisticated, and the service is detail oriented and welcoming. We ordered the RH burger, lobster roll, fries, butterscotch brulee, and a cappuccino. The lobster roll was a bit small for the price, and while the burger was tasty, it was a little salty for my taste. However, the cappuccino was fantastic, and the overall food was good just be prepared for a pricey bill

We were in the area and wanted to get breakfast. We were close so decided to come here. We came in as a walk in. The place is absolutely gorgeous. We sat at a booth. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The place is very bright and airy. The service here flows smoothly. I ordered a chicken sandwich and we also ordered pancakes, bacon, and sausage. My son absolutely loved the food and it's hard for a 7 year old to eat everything. My children sandwich was delicious it was rotisserie check but very moist. We had a great experience and my son is requesting to go back.

I can see why RH Rooftop Restaurant has such mixed reviews but after finally visiting for lunch, I'm really glad we gave it a chance. I had been hesitant to come because of what I had read, but one of my girlfriends suggested we make a reservation and try it for ourselves. Even with reservations there was still a bit of a wait to be seated, but honestly we didn't mind at all. Walking through the space and browsing the beautiful furniture displays made the time pass quickly and added to the overall experience. Where things slowed down a bit was with the service. From placing our order to receiving the food, everything took longer than expected. It wasn't terrible, but it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're on a tight schedule. That said, the food absolutely delivered. We started with the caviar and potato chips, which felt indulgent and fun to share. For lunch we both ordered the lobster roll, and it was spectacular fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the blackberry mocktail while my friend had the spritz, and both drinks were refreshing and paired nicely with the meal. The real standout, though, was dessert. We ordered the banana split-style brûlée dessert (I wish I remembered the exact name), and it was easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The textures and sweetness were perfectly balanced and it was the ideal way to end our lunch. Overall, I would absolutely come back and would recommend it just make sure you have a little extra time to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

I went to RH Rooftop after seeing so many videos about how great it was online, and while I do have to say the restaurant was quite pretty and our server was so sweet, nothing really stood out to me otherwise. I didn't love the starters, which were the prosciutto board and the caviar blinis. I found the meat and cheese board to be pretty lackluster and would definitely recommend people to just skip if they're contemplating it. The caviar blinis were very light but truly didn't stand out to me either. However, my boyfriend loved them so maybe try if you're into a light, airy starter. I did enjoy the branzino because of the nice lemon flavor, but I do think it could have used more lemon and a tiny bit of salt. The salad was tasty, and if you lots of onions in your salad then I would recommend. Steak and fries were fine as well. Overall, the food was decent but nothing really stood out to me, and for the price, I've definitely had better. Probably wouldn't go again but I did want to give a special shoutout to our server (can't remember her name). She was the sweetest and really accommodating. She also gave us some chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream on-the-house after we told her it was our anniversary!

We went there on a Monday late afternoon lunch. We had reservation but on a Monday, the restaurant was pretty empty unlike on a weekend. Their food options are almost all at $$ price. But they do have some good food options. Their chicken dishes are my favorite. There is unfortunately less options for Vegans. Their beer is very good. So is most of their wines. This restaurant is more of a date-night kind of place and not so much of a family friendly place, especially with young kids. The staff is friendly and the ambience is top class. This place definitely checks out for their good vibes but not so much for the food.

This RH Rooftop Restaurant has become one of our favorite places to go for brunch in the Bay Area. It's located on the outskirts of the Stanford Shopping Center. There are free parkings everywhere. Highly recommend you go early and make reservations in advance. The restaurant as well as the shopping center tend to fill up really fast, especially in the weekends. Do not be surprised if you walk in a furniture store. Simply take the elevator to the 3rd floor and you'll reach the rooftop restaurant. The cute glass ceiling and indoor greenery bring the outside in and you'll feel a sense of openness and freedom. The ambience was a win already for us. We were quickly checked in and led to our table. The staff who would be taking our order was busy chatting up the next table. When he got to us, he showed a different attitude. Instead of chatty chitty and chirpy attitude, he was matter-of-fact-ly despite us smiling at him. The staff who brought us food were considerate though. However, the staff who took our order returned at the end to take our plates away. He startled my sister a bit by not asking and just took her plate away. Other than this tiny uneasy experience, our food and drinks were great. We both order Italian Benedict's and believe it was the best item on the menu. It was made to perfection and the portion was so perfect. Otherwise, we totally enjoyed the ambience and the food, minus a tiny interesting experience. We ended leaving a big tip though. Our parents work in the service industry and we understand the importance of leaving nice tips. However, service could have been a bit better :)

Beautiful, luxurious rooftop setting to compliment the delicious food and the immaculate service! It's definitely worth a visit.

First time at RH and it was nothing less than great! The restaurant is beautiful, but a little noisy if you don't mind that. The service was great and our server was very accommodating to us trying different wines and sauces. The steak frittes and the grilled shrimp were our favorites for the night! This restaurant is for sure worth trying and delicious!

RH Rooftop Restaurant boasts a beautiful view of Stanford Shopping Center. Upon entering, you will find on the first and second floors an upscale furniture store. Under the third floor, you will find the rooftop restaurant with glass ceilings, illuminating natural sunlight. We ordered artichoke chips and truffle fries, which are a must, signature burger which was nothing life-changing unfortunately, and salmon dish, which tasted so fresh. We decided on this restaurant for a birthday, and although the menu was a little pricey for what the food was worth, we definitely enjoyed the friendly service, beautiful views and photo ops.

Classic Caesar Salad, Mini Lobster Rolls

We came to RH Rooftop Palo Alto to celebrate my birthday, and while most of the evening was wonderful, the experience unfortunately ended on a sour note. This was our first time here, and the ambiance was the main reason we chose this spot--and it absolutely delivered. The space is stunning, with beautiful decor, and we arrived just in time to watch the sunset through the glass, which made the celebration feel really special. The food overall was very good. We ordered the rosé spritz, cappelletti spritz, classic Caesar salad, mini lobster rolls, truffle fries, petit filet mignon, and branzino. The Caesar salad was amazing and honestly renewed my love for this salad--so fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced. The truffle fries were a standout and easily the best truffle fries I've had (and I try them everywhere). The truffle flavor really came through, and the dip was incredible--we just wished there was more of it. The petit filet mignon with béarnaise was a showstopper: perfectly cooked medium rare, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and my boyfriend said it easily beat some actual steakhouses. The branzino was good but not particularly memorable; we've had better elsewhere, and there were a few bones we had to be careful of. Service was excellent throughout most of the evening. Our server and host were gracious and professional, plates were cleared promptly, drinks were refilled, and overall the staff was attentive and efficient. However, the end of the night left a sour note. As we were walking down the stairs to leave, a woman was walking up to the third floor with a drink in her hand. As she spotted us, she made a comment along the lines of "keep going downstairs" to us. It felt unnecessary and rude, especially since we were already leaving and not planning to browse furniture. If she was enforcing policy, the comment itself--and having a drink in hand while seemingly on the clock--came off as unprofessional and left a bad taste after an otherwise lovely experience. Still not sure who she was or her role there, but if she does indeed work there-- please work on your customer service skills! Overall, the ambiance and standout dishes made this a memorable birthday dinner, and I'd still recommend it--just hoping for a smoother, more gracious finish next time.

Came here today for weekday lunch with my wife and the place was quite full for a weekday but I can definitely see why! The setting and ambiance are fantastic especially on a nice sunny clear skies day like today. I have been to the RH Restaurant in the North Bay before and they have a similar setting. It looks like they have expanded their lunch menu now because it used to be sandwiches, rolls and salads but now they more starters and true entree options. The prices are on the higher side but you get rewarded with good food, great atmosphere and excellent service! A shout out to our wonderful server Raquel who was absolutely fantastic! So friendly, nice and informative! We got the following for lunch: Avocado carpaccio (10/10) - such a flavorful, unique but yet simple dish Prosciutto deluxe board (10/10) - the bread was warm, the cheese was soft and I could not stop eating it all Seabass (9/10) - big chunk of meaty and tasty fish flavored to perfection Grilled whole branzino (9/10) - grilled nicely and simple but delicious. I expected to have to debone the fish while eating but I was surprised that they had deboned it already. Nice! American style baked potato (8/10) - this was smaller than I expected but still very flavorful Chocolate chip cookies (10/10) - These were big and well balanced by the sea salt. Yummy soft baked and full of chocolate Go for the atmosphere and service for sure for a very nice fine meal! Well done RH!

Came here on a Saturday for lunch. It's so pretty inside with all open windows like a greenhouse. Loved the ambiance. The food and service was as expected for the price point(: this is definitely a nice place for a get together or celebration. Here's what I got: Mini lobster crab rolls: 10/10 so buttery and tasty Chinese chicken salad: 8/10 the flavor was great but I feel it was mostly fried wonton Whole grilled branzino: 9/10 grilled super well Steak frites: 10/10 fries were fried perfectly and the steak had a great char (forgot to take a picture)

RH is a fun elegant date spot for special people in your life. The 270 degree view of Marin, the mountains and Oakland from the top of the building are excellent. Today we had grilled avocado with caviar, prosciutto and Delice board. We first had the grilled avocado and caviar at the San Francisco location. Today we sat near the water fountain in the middle of the restaurant giving us some excellent views. Tables are adorned with white linens and the service is always friendly and attentive. Give them a try. Hope all pictures posted make it to the review. Sometimes they disappear and then reappear from the review page.

Mid week brunch meant a quieter atmosphere and open seating. After perusing the menu we ordered at the counter before sitting at a table after picking up utensils and water. I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind. I personally had the crab omelette and left no crumbs behind. The potatoes were well seasoned and wish I had enough room in my tummy to finish them off! The drip coffee was bold and delicious not watered down at all! Finally, we shared the 2 stack biscoff pancakes for a sweet finish. While I never…read moremet the man, he has incredible taste, because Sweet Maple has the best breakfast food I've ever had in the bay area. Well worth the trip. The two of us were dubious about the Millionaire's Bacon, because it was hyped up to the point where it seemed unlikely that it could live up to the reputation. We were wrong. We ordered the Millionaire's Bacon sampler platter, which is four strips of long, thick pieces of bacon, baked with brown sugar and spices. There is the original, which is brown sugar, cayenne, red, and black pepper, which was sweet, salty, and the perfect amount of spicy. The other slices were orange, cinnamon, and rosemary. My partner enjoyed the orange best, whereas I loved the cinnamon, but we both thought the rosemary was underwhelming. The bacon itself was very thick and meaty with a minimal amount of fat, and was just clearly high quality pork. Truly worth the hype. We also got the bottomless mimosas, which not only had multiple choices of juice (we got raspberry lemonade) but were surprisingly heavy on the champagne. The waiter kept them coming without us needing to ask, to the point where I had to tell him I was done because I was a little too tipsy for breakfast. My partner got the chicken croffle, and was very impressed. I tried the fried chicken (though not the croffle) and it was very well spiced, very crunchy, and well cooked--juicy and tender. I got the big hip, which is deep fried "french toast". I wouldn't call it french toast myself, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and came with fresh fruit, butter, and syrup. There wasn't enough syrup for the entire dish, but I asked our waiter for more and he came back with it in less than a minute. On top of the food being as close to perfect as you can get, the service was great. Several different waiters checked in on us throughout the meal, making sure we were enjoying the food and that we didn't need anything else. The vibes of the restaurant are really enjoyable too. The décor is lovely, the sound levels are very reasonable, and everything was spotless during our visit. Overall, I can't recommend Sweet Maple enough, and I'm kind of glad it's not closer to my house because I would go bankrupt with the amount of Millionaire's Bacon I'd buy on a weekly basis.

Joanie's has been around long enough to wear its old-school vibe with confidence. The service is just fine. Nothing to complain about and nothing to tell write home about. It's a small enough place you are able to flag someone down if you needed something. We both ordered the "Joanie's Breakfast Medley" which includes French toast or two pancakes, two eggs any style, home fries, and your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, corned beef hash, chicken-apple sausage, or ham) for $25.95. We added two coffees, because we are functioning adults who require caffeine to make decisions. The food was fine, it was what a Sunday breakfast should be. I had a bit of a sticker shock when I asked for the bill and saw that it was OVER $75 for two people at breakfast, with tax and tip. I sat there doing the math in my head the way you do when you're hoping the numbers will somehow rearrange themselves into something more palatable. They did not. Now, to be fair, I am fully aware that the cost of ingredients and labor has gone up across the board. I was just operating on an optimistic budget of maybe $60 which I now realize is one of those "back in my day" comments to bore the Gen Zs to tears. If you want a recommendation for something sweet, go straight for the Cherries, Berries and Mascarpone French Toast. The eggs benedict is a reliable choice too, if you're feeling classic. The restaurant is easy to get to as it is located at the corner of California and Ash Street, and there's a large parking structure right next door. Would I go back? Probably, yes. But I will be prepared so that the wallet shock doesn't catch me off guard again.

The standout item was the fries, quite good! Crisp outside and soft inside. 5/5 French toast - ok, a little dry, the berry sauce was good but lacking a little dynamic flavor maybe some citrus? 3/5 Cookie with vegan ice cream. Alas, pastries are still difficult to make well vegan 3/5 Service was a little distracted and hard to order. Bussing was very on top of it. I will return for the top items

The portion sizes were ridiculously small...the grilled plate for two for example was really an appetizer plate for a peckish small teenager for $43. Service started out decent, but our male server got a little cold and standoffish after sometime. I don't know if it is because the place got busy or what but we felt awkward. The overall vibe was blase with a we're too cool for you attitude. Staff should be able to handle a busy friday night without ignoring some customers. There wasn't any real table maintenance. We had everything we ordered still on the table for awhile until we flagged down staff a few times. They removed things after knowing we wanted to order more things I felt. The chairs were uncomfortable and the table set up for parties of 4 were too small.

There was some seating inside but a majority of it is outside. We ordered: - Organic Scrambles #3 (Scrambled Organic Eggs, Organic Wild Mushrooms, Shallots, Crème Fraîche, Chives) - The scrambled eggs were good and not mushy at all. The creaminess of the crème fraîche worked well with the mushrooms and chives. - Three Stack Apple Pancakes - This was delicious! I loved the grated apples in the pancakes. It was a solid pancake. We had a good time eating here and will be back to try more items on the menu!

Cafe Barron has excellent food, but the service experience really dragged things down during a busy…read moremorning. Food (5/5): The food was genuinely delicious. The French toast was fluffy, buttery, and easily one of the highlights. The omelette with cream and mirin really hit the spot, and the breakfast wrap was also excellent. No complaints here. Drinks (3/5): The drinks tasted good, but we ordered them extra hot and they arrived cold, which was disappointing. You are also responsible to pick them up so stay close to the barrista id you need coffee. Ambiance (4/5): The atmosphere is lively and energetic, which gives the place a fun brunch vibe. That said, it can feel overcrowded. The seating is very tight, tables are pushed close together, and the line can get quite long. Service (2/5): This was unfortunately the biggest issue. One of our items was missed in the original order. When I went back to fix it, staff initially entered it as a separate order and told me there wasn't much they could do and that I'd need to pick it up as a to-go order. After multiple conversations, I asked them to simply combine it with our original order and bring it to our table, which they eventually agreed to. When our food arrived, the missing item was still missing. After checking with staff three separate times, we were eventually told they were "doing us a favor" by giving us someone else's to-go item. By that point, we had already finished most of our breakfast and were ready to leave. The staff seemed more focused on explaining how busy they were rather than taking ownership of the mistake, even though the issue started with the original order being missed. Overall, this is a solid 4-star if you go on a quieter day and you don't need much customer service because the food is absolutely worth trying. On a busy day, though, be prepared for a potential 2-star experience, mainly due to customer service.
