This review is for the Cambridge location. I ordered the jerk turkey tip bowl with djon djon (black rice) and a Haitian patty. Prior to going there I looked at the pics because I know that when food is served in a predominantly white area, it tends to be served different/ in an inauthentic way. I looked at the pics and was like ok, the rice appears to be legit. So I order the bowl and got double rice instead of the salad. I open it at home and this is what I found. Some uncle Ben's tasting white rice with green peas. Not a tint of black to it. Almost $20 for a bowl and I wasn't provided with what I ordered. I ate the turkey tips (which heads up it isn't an actual jerk taste. It is sweet with a clove and pepper taste). And I ate the Haitian patty which was actually good. Side note, I've had the coffee in Dorchester which is delicious so I'm not knocking the establishment altogether but the bowl was atrocious, the rest went in the trash. The pickliz were not at all spicy and the rice was mushy and flavorless. I called the only number provided on their site (the Dorchester location) and I left a message because they didn't have a number for the Cambridge location to provide. I was told someone would call me back and heard absolutely nothing which is disappointing. My money went to waste and I don't appreciate that no one reached out to discuss this. read more
