Ran into a High School classmate friend of mine and the lady behind me in line got so outrageously mad that I dare continue to talk to her as she was then checked out. I even apologied and said it's been years since we've seen each other... and she looked at me with such hate and contempt, told me it was her turn, and told me I should wait until her break to speak to her. How terribly unhappy that poor lady must be. To get so angry about not getting enough attention from a checker in the minute that it took for her to check out her few items.
