Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!! So my finding Scribles started out by me asking a really good friend of mine who he thought made the best Philly Cheesesteak here in the EUG. After some back and forth, I decided to see what the culinarily adventurous on Yelp had to say on this matter. Scribles comes highly recommended and justifiably so. A decent peruse of their menu had me interested in both the Philly as well as their French Dip. Also a good majority of the Yelp reviews recommended the Roast Anaheim Peppers which were stellar. Additionally, my GF and I were both curious re Scrible's Pesto Cheese Sticks. I am glad the appetizers came out first. We got the pesto cheese sticks first which was so dang good. Next up was the Roasted Anaheim peppers. Next were the subs/hoagies/grinders/what have you. Their French Dip is rudely delicious. The house Au Jus could just be drank by itself as it is that legit. The sandwiches are chock full of meat. Lastly, the Philly showed up and it is hands down the best version in EUG, same with the French Dip. We ended up with plenty of leftovers and I am thankful as their food is worth bragging about. This spot is quaint and I am sure as word catches on, and it will, this place will become packed. We were lucky enough to grab a table and watch the last game of the NBA championship while eating some amazing food (Congrats Denver). Thank you to all those Yelp reviewers that took the time to review this place as it is top notch run by some good people. We will definitely be back.
