Likel Blue Bell, Shipleys is widely know to all Texans. If you don't know, now you know. But Shirley's is not just a TX thing, they are also in Louisiana, Florida, and Oklahoma too. Stopped in with my family after church that was just up the street. I can tell this location is new. It def had more razzle dazzle than many locations I have been to over the years. Large screen menus, patio seating inside, and a cutsey old timey microwave to heat up your donuts if you want. And updated floors, and a clean bathroom is a plus. Even a cutesy money cat$ at the register too. Service - was good, they staff were young, but diligent. I ended up with the wrong donut, as it had been mislabeled behind the counter. I came back to the counter, and they allowed me to keep the donut I already had, and still provided the one I meant to order. Great customer experience, for setting the situation right, and making sure I had a positive experience. Food- we ordered plain coffees (they have a cream/sugar station near the microwave), kolaches, and donuts to share. We stayed a while, and they didn't rush us out. read more
