I've been hearing nothing but great things about Sitar so me and my bestie went to check them out since she also loves Indian food.
You walk in and you're immediately met with the smell of delicious cooking that will instantly get you excited for the meal that's about to come.
I decided to have a strawberry lassi because I've never had one before, I normally always get a mango one, and I'm glad I did because it was delish! We kicked off with the lamb samosas and veggie platter and WOW what FLAVORS. Each bite was an experience, and so so tasty.
My friend got the chicken biryani and I went with the chicken tikka masala and can I just say how impressed I was that our food stayed warm the whole entire time? Like it was still steaming as we packed it away, I was so impressed with that because there's nothing I hate more than lukewarm food being brought out to me. Regardless of that, my masala was incredible and I was sad I had to stop myself so I could save room for dessert.
Because then I filled up on basically all of the cheese naan and it is some of the best I have ever had and if you're visiting New Haven and want authentic Indian food, this is the place to go. read more
