My husband and I stopped by the soft opening of Springbone Kitchen in Georgetown. The restaurant was having a promotion: five-dollar bowls and a free broth or soup with purchase -- couldn't get any better than that! I had been wanting to try this place because everything is gluten-free for the most part, and they use clean ingredients.
The staff was very welcoming and had great recommendations. I did the immunity broth, which was delicious. I didn't eat the chicken noodle soup until the next day, and it tasted really good. The only thing is, it had a lot of pepper and pepper and I just don't mesh well, so I was a bit disappointed in that.
The bowls: I must say that the Mexican bowl was my favorite, but my husband liked the Mediterranean bowl more, so both are great options. I think the prices are great for the amount of food you get.
The seating arrangement is a bit complicated. There wasn't a lot indoors. They have some outdoor seating, but it was just too cool to sit outside. But I suppose that's expected during opening weekend.
Can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu!! read more
