The Pointes have nothing close to authentic Chinese food, so Summer Palace is one of the few places to get any sort of Chinese food at all. Summer Palace has standard American style Chinese food in large portions. The Singapore noodles were good, although I would have liked more egg, spiciness, and meat and seafood (such as shrimp and chicken) in the meal rather than being an add-on option. I prefer the chicken egg foo young dinner, which comes with an egg roll and rice. For an additional $2.50, I chose to have fried rice. There is a large amount of rice and egg foo young topped with gravy. It's decent for American Chinese, filling, and is enough to feed several people. Not a bad takeout place considering there aren't many diverse food options in Grosse Pointe. read more
