I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat and a beer or two with some friends on a dreary day, and when we finally left, I couldn't stop saying how I couldn't believe that I had never been here before. Better yet, I cannot wait for an opportunity to go back. The bartender was great - recommending some grub or quick with the banter - and my mushroom/swiss burger was just what the doctor had ordered. A couple of pints of Smithwick's down the gullet on top of that, and I was a happy lad. If I had lived a bit closer to Sweeney's, a bar stool would surely bear the imprint of my posterior.
