Yummo! Go here!
We checked this place out because of a mention in our hotel magazine about it being one of the best fish and chips in Scotland and they weren't wrong! This is a sit down restaurant located in the basement, not what we expected, but much better than a basement sounds!
Several of us ordered their classic haddock fish and chips and it was battered perfectly! Light, crispy and delish! This was the best fish and chips we had during the trip and there were many good ones. Side salads were yummy and huge.
Coleslaw was just ok, supppper creamy. I prefer the mushed peas. The chorizo and fish starter was good, but not worth recommending or repeating.
Local beers on draught available. Our server gave us a great recommendation for a bar after (Duke's Corner).
Dessert special was a traditional Scottish dessert of oats, berries, cheesecake and whiskey and was worth trying! read more
