Y'all there's a new Mexican restaurant that just opened 4 months ago. It's a nice and elegant but yet relaxing restaurant to this plaza. This spot has been many things in the pass. But never has it been a nice restaurant like this. Coming in it is decorated with low light sconces on the wall and trimed in black, gold and white. With what I believe with local aritst paintings on the walls. Tequila Mexican has a fully stocked bar with a few TV's for your viewing pleasure to watch any sport games while enjoying your food. Today the amazing and fabulous Ms. R. Tricia was our waitress. She greeted us with a big smile and ask where would we like to sit. The restaurant wasn't crowded at the time we go there. But over time more customers started to show. Ms. Tricia ask was it our first time visiting and of course we said yes. She went over the menu, I asked for her to recommend a few menu items for us. We chose the Taco salad bowl, Camarones A La Diabla and the Quesabirrias. Y'all when I say the plates themselves was hot and the food was steaming with a sass in the smoke. My mouth started watering as Tricia approached the table. Just looking at the food we got full. The color and the seasoning on the shrimp in the Camerones dish was perfection. I chose to get flour tortillas to go with the meal. But I didn't even need them. The sear on those Quesabirrias was the best. They was FULL of meat and cheese. Mister chose to have steak for his protein. And I'm glad he did. The Consommé that came with it, I could have dranked it instead of a dipping sauce. It was that good. The Taco salad was full and the shell was fresh and light. I loved how they put just a dollop of refried beans on plate to hold the taco shell in place. I also got a shot of tequila to top off the meal. Tricia asked me to trust her to choose the Tequila. However, Ms. Tricia doesn't drink. But I let her do her thang. She gave me a shot of 1800 reposada in a very nicely chill shot glas with salt rim and lime. I loved it. Typically restaurants don't give you a chilled shot glass. They shake the Tequila or whatever spirit you like with a piece of ice then put it in the glass. So in other words, watering down the shot. But here it was a delight to see that they did it right.
