The service was decent, you can tell they don't really come across that man of us , but they were kind and even though our waiter spoke little English he did good. The food is nothing to write home about, we ordered tacos. Try something else if you want but we really came for the margs. The soft serve margaritas were presented nicely and had good flavoring. On the initial sip you taste the liquor and it goes straight to your head. However after one marg you don't feel anything really besides a small brain freeze. They were moderately priced about $13 each.

Hoping for at least a reasonable and empathetic response, I contacted the restaurant the next day to inform them of the situation. Unfortunately, the interaction with the manager was both dismissive and unsettling. I was told that my claim could not be "verified" because no one else had called to report similar symptoms, and therefore they could not take responsibility. I was further informed that any possibility of a refund or compensation was off the table because I did not report the issue the same day and lacked medical documentation explicitly tying the illness to their food. What was particularly frustrating was the implication that my experience was invalid simply because others did not report the same issue. When I explained that my coworkers ordered different items, I was met with continued skepticism rather than concern. The tone throughout the conversation felt defensive rather than professional, and there was a complete lack of basic customer care or accountability. Food safety concerns should be taken seriously, and customers reporting illness deserve to be treated with respect--not interrogation. Even a simple acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way. This experience with blatantly rude customer service and experience with their food has left me both shocked and appalled. Today was no exception. We were overnighting in ATL so we could catch an early flight the next day. We rented a car (Uber made no sense in this case) and made the 37 or so mile trek to El Torero. Like every other visit, we were not disappointed. Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa had that wonderful "bite". We also ordered cheese dip. Here they add jalapeños which really add to the flavor. My wife ordered flautas (which came with a nice salad) and I had chimichangas. (One chicken and one beef). Instead of being topped with cheese, I opted for a spicy " red" sauce which was excellent. We ate slowly enjoying every bite. El Torero first opened in 1981 and continues to be as excellent as the day we first came here many years ago. Two of the original staff from our Atlanta days are still working here albeit many years older. Service is extraordinarily. It doesn't matter who your server is. If someone sees your drink empty, a refill is quickly delivered. Driving back to the airport I asked my wife if the $51 car rental and $10 replacement gas was worth it. She replied, "what do you think"? We expect to be passing through Atlanta in early February. Can't wait for our next El Torero stop.
