Wow, wow, wow, we loved the vibe at the new bar, The Dive in Walnut Creek. The Dive is located where the old Spoontonic used to be, and it's undergone a knockout transformation, turning the former rundown space into a sleek and sexy speakeasy. Felix, the new owner, his wife, Jenn, and team have spent the last four months deep cleaning and renovating the space, and the decades of grime are gone; the new space shines! The signature drink at The Dive is the Canadian Old Fashioned, and it was delicious with a subtle smoky flavor. As a single woman, I felt very safe at The Dive. I wouldn't hesitate to stop in by myself or with a group of girlfriends. They have bar snacks, but no food is served. You can bring in your own food. read more
