We have been visiting elderly friends here for over a year and a half. Pleasant surroundings, capable & friendly staff, and Activity Directors (Bridgette during the week and Rob on weekends) who keep the residents busy are the main attractions.
When we sign in during the week, Claudia is the friendly face who greets us, and is informative about the day. On weekends, it's Karol, who is also quite lovely. While we visit, nurses dispense medications on time and efficiently to our friends. The food is good, and we know since we lunch with our lady friends every Saturday that we ate in town.
A family room is available for special occasions when we bring outside food in. We reserve it, and when we arrive, it is decked out with plates, cups and silverware on a table for up to six. The kitchen staff brings us tea or lemonade. Karen is an especially bright spot to the days we reserve this room.
The entertainment is age appropriate and varied. I like visiting when it's musical duo or piano player. They always make the ladies and me smile.
A Memory Unit is available, but so far our friends do not need the exceptional care provided in this separate area. The care they receive in the Assisted Living portion of the Waverly is perfect for them. read more
