I live out of state and have a weekly call set up to FaceTime with my mom. I usually figure out that the staff has again left when I can't get through to my mom. If you want a true representation of the quality check out glassdoor reviews the staff gives. Sounds like over worked and under staffed. There's definitely a problem with losing personal items here. I understand it to a degree, memory patients can be kleptomaniacs; however, when we write her name in permanent marker in all her pants, I'm not quite sure how all my mother's pants (clothes) disappear, not to be found. I noticed others also having the same problem when I was visiting. Where are their clothes going staff?!? It's not an easy job, one of the most difficult, so staff up appropriately and treat your staff well. I've seen great staff come and go over and over and my mom's only been there 10 months

This in itself was a difficult reality to face. As I researched potential memory care communities, I had unwavering standards: a loving, attentive staff who would appreciate my mom's personality and sense of humor; the ability to provide outstanding medical care; and exceptional food service that my mom would look forward to eating on a daily basis. Fortunately for our family, the Villas have continued to meet the standard we have set. Whenever I have had a concern or a question, no matter how trivial, they welcome the opportunity to dialog. Whenever I visit with my mom, regardless of the time of day or night, I am welcomed and addressed by name. The only thing I wish the Villas had is a larger outdoor patio area for the residents.

I can't even begin to put into words what they have done to her. Let's talk about safety: there is no reception desk, no sign in so anyone can just walk in, they may or may not stop you. I came to visit one night and found only two people on staff who decided to hop in there truck and go somewhere, leaving the residents unattended. I hope they get shut down because there is so much more they do wrong than right.

The CNAs are usually given 15-20 residents each, and expected to do cigarettes time, and expected to serve all meal trays, and charting. Residents are lucky if their CNA is able to get to them every couple hours. No place to send an enemy, never mind a loved one

He enjoyed the staff, Barbara at the front desk and Jeanette Echeverria in dining services and Brandon, med tech. Garrett the director were some special people. We felt even from 1200 miles away he was taken care of and had the La Casa family. When visiting Jeannette went out of her way to give us the gift of seeing. Every Sunday she would send us a picture over the phone of grandpa. She said "see doesn't he look happy, it was the BEST gift any family member could receive 1200 miles ago and his ripe age of almost 97. Thank you for taking care of him when he could no longer do everything for himself.

It is less cost than other homes, both my father and step-mother were priced at $3150. a month. We found out that because my father is a war veteran that he can receive assistance through the VA (both him and my step-mother) for $1100 each. With the extra $2200 they were able to afford a much nicer 1 bedroom assisted living home at $4450 a month at Brookdale in New Port Richey.
