Tim was booked for my 5 year-old's birthday party after seeing him at another party about 2 years earlier, and my daughter was STILL excited to do it all again this time as a hostess. He was on time, easy to work with, very friendly and communicated very well. Tim was everything we hoped he would be and more. He was sooooo good with the kids (of all ages). The trailer is all clean & organized, up to date, and air-conditioned. He took 14 kids in there on a hot June day and had them all rocking and sifting and just really into it for over an hour. And it was great for the parents too because it was just rockin' cool stuff, and it was quality time with your child as you see in the photos. And some parents preferred to sit in their chairs and let Tim take over for 90 minutes which was nice for parents, too! He even accommodated some sibling pairs on the same stations which worked out great. And it is easy for the kids to do it on their own, which I think is part of why they love it so much. At the end of the "dig", the birthday girl got to crack open her own geode and this is where Tim was at his best. She must have hit that rock 50 times and kept at it and Tim was so good at encouraging her, explaining safety protocols, making her laugh and keeping all the kids' interest while doing so. I teach high school social studies. There is a sound that teachers strive for, like a hum or buzz of energetic language, excitement, discovery, and learning, and I heard that hum for over an hour. Tim definitely could have been a public school teacher had he been crazy enough to try. We will be booking him again in 3 years when my 2 year-old turns 5.
