Found this place in a Northeastern Pennsylvania guide book after a day of canoeing in Cooks Forest. We were starving and this place was only 2 miles from the river. It was a great find. They had a bar, dinning room and an outdoor patio (with live music this particular Sunday) The menu had a good variety of homemade food including sandwiches, dinners, daily specials and homemade soups. We got the buffalo chicken nachos topped with cheese and lettuces served with a ranch salsa dipping sauce. A huge portion and so yummy. My niece got the shepards pie and I got the fried chicken dinner. Both were delicious and filling.
All in all this place was a great find with genuine home cooking in the middle of a touristy area. Will definitely stop back after out next canoeing trip. read more
