Juan Carlos at Treescape is the best there is. See my Before/After photos. I had a neighbor's massive Ficus shedding berries and leaves all year round on my patio. Fully 70% was hanging over the fence and it's several stories high. I wanted it cut back ALL the way to the fence line. Called at least 6 or 7 top rated companies for in-person quotes. Juan not only gave me a rock bottom price, that both the neighbor and I could afford, he ALSO told me if we cut it right then (July) it would likely die from heat stroke and the stress of a major trimming. Nobody else told me that! Obviously I don't want to murder a tree. So we scheduled for cooler weather 5 months later - and despite that long wait, Juan did NOT raise his quote which was great. Most contractors would stick you for that. The job he did was absolutely MASSIVE and EXACTLY what I wanted. No more "tree trash" raining down on me! I am delighted! Please note that I did NOT ask (or care) for this to be "pretty". It could not have been no matter what given the enormous size of the tree trunks to be removed. I asked for these limbs to be GONE! And I am THRILLED with the outcome! Juan is a great guy to deal with; super pleasant. He also cleaned up afterwards very nicely. He even came back the NEXT day with a taller pole to get the very tallest branches. Most contractors would just shrug and say "I don't have that tall of a pole so I can't get those" - NOT Juan. (Note: My After picture is before the final minor work was done but you have a clear idea how huge the job was.) Really there's nothing more to say except: hire him. You will NOT regret it.
