I stopped into Vivian's and had such a great experience from start to finish. I ordered a Cortado and a Red Eye, both priced at $5. The cortado was smooth and balanced. The red eye had the perfect kick, plus they offer free refills on drip coffee, which is such a nice bonus if you're planning to sit and relax or get some work done. For food, I tried Lox sandwich ($15). The pickled egg salad added amazing acidity, they were very generous with the smoked salmon, and the everything croissant was buttery, flaky, and savory. This is easily one of the best lox sandwiches I've had. I also ordered the Cold Cut Italian ($16), which was also very good. They were generous with the salami and ham, and I liked the touch of oil and vinegar which just enough without making the ciabatta soggy. Personally, I would switch out the provolone since I could barely taste it, but overall it was still good. It comes with a side salad or chips. I chose the salad, and while it was small, the vinaigrette was delicious. To end my meal, I had the Presidio cocktail, which I had before and enjoyed. It has gin, blackberry syrup, rosemary, lime, and luxardo maraschino. It's light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced. It would be even better with a Luxardo cherry added, but still a great drink. Service was friendly, there was plenty of seating, and the space was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Vivian's is definitely worth a visit, and I'm already looking forward to coming back. read more
