A local pub to the Windermere area has arrived!!! I'm an aviation nerd and so when I heard there was a pub named after one of my favorite aircraft I was rather excited! The good news, this place did not disappoint! My first experience here I came with a few other aviation enthusiasts with work in air traffic control. We contacted the pub for a reso and they happily accommodated the reso for 12. Our server James explained that it was happy hour 5-7 Monday to Friday so we started with some tasty beverages! I was happy to see a mix of local and Canadian options to world wide! Second time was for a work Christmas party! 24 people and all served timely and correctly! On both occasions the server then explained that the menu was designed in mind for sharing and gave us a few recommendations and helped answer some food allergy questions. Yes they have celiac and dairy free options. We've tried a few things and they have all been pretty tasty! Photos to show!! On another note there is a lot of awesome aviation decore- one that's very special to me is the write up on one of the pilots who passed doing what he loved while flying for Ken Borek air. The first office who flew with this man was a good friend of mine and it's an amazing tribute. It can be a sad industry at times and places like this give aviators a place to feel at home- and nerd out over the awesome photos and hanging twin otter! The owner, also a pilot- just ask him and he will share stories, ha ha pilot trait! and the staff have all been amazing and I'm sure we will become regulars here!
