My family has a tradition after a long hike to find the best burger in the area, and our research led us here. First thought on pulling into parking lot "If the parking lot is this full at 11:30 on a Sunday morning, than either the burgers are amazing or the locals have serious drinking problems." Thankfully for us, and for the livers of Springfield, it was the former.
I ordered the mushroom and Swiss (with bacon) while my husband ordered the bacon cheddar. The waitress reviewed our order and read his back as a "small bacon cheddar," which my husband immediately corrected to "the big one." After convincing her he could handle it, we sat back and awaited our meal. When it arrived, we understood why she had hesitated. The large burger is HUGE. Both burgers were amazing- hand-formed patties cooked to the correct temperature (a true medium and a true mid-rare) with really flavorful, crisp bacon. It was a great experience! read more
