We stopped by Whataburger because my mom was craving the Sweet & Spicy Bacon Burger--a favorite of hers that she's been hooked on for a while now. I'm not sure what initially made her try it, but at this point, it's her go-to order. The combination of the sweet and spicy sauce with the crispy bacon and juicy patties is hard to beat.
She usually prefers to skip the Combo Meal, but let's be real--restaurants have made it nearly impossible to order à la carte without overpaying. So, we went ahead and got the fries and a drink. The fries were solid--crispy and salty, just the way they should be.
One thing she never skips, though, is their chocolate chip cookies. And honestly, Whataburger deserves some recognition for the simple but brilliant way they package them. Placing the cookie on top of the burger inside the bag? Genius. It gets all warm and soft, making it taste like it just came out of the oven. Little things like that make the experience extra satisfying.
Overall, Whataburger delivered exactly what we came for--great food, a little nostalgia, and a warm cookie at the end. Definitely worth the stop! read more
