I wish I could give Win-Dor zero stars. Win-Dor replaced 43 windows and 3 patio doors in my home about 11 years ago. I have had nothing but problems with them. The double hung windows have never locked properly. I have had the technicians out at least 4 - 5 times. The last time they wanted me to pay and I refused. Now, they have a note in my file about and won't respond to my emails/calls. So much for the "lifetime warranty". The window in the dinette fogged up which they did replace. Now, to my horror, 3 of the windows in that same dinette area have been leaking, probably for years. I had to have the walls below these 3 windows torn out. It is not the caulk around the windows, it's the piece that's on the glass sides. The French doors also don't work properly. The frosted windows have water in between the panes. I am just beyond frustrated with the poor quality of these windows/doors and all that money down the drain. I am just so uncomfortable with the rest of the windows now. I do not want more mold in my walls. I had a person from another company out yesterday. He told me that they recommend that you DO NOT use vinyl windows in California. read more
