THE BEST AFFORDABLE AND HIGH QUALITY OMAKASE!!!! (So far...) I was actually looking for a sushi omakase place to celebrate my bf's birthday and graduation (he is a sushi fanatic) and was actually going to go to another place in Anaheim. But, thanks to the lucky star, two days before our dinner date, I stumbled upon this place in Yelp's hot and new list. I called the restaurant on Wednesday to book a reservation for 2 on Friday night. So glad that we made reservation because the place has only 7 tables and 5 spots at sushi bar, so the wait time was almost 1 hour without reservation. We were seated right away at the sushi bar. If you're seated at the sushi bar, you have the choice to order a la carte from the menu or just do omakase style - chef's choice. The unique thing about this place is that you can state your budget and the chef will curate the menu around that (sushi only, sushi with appetizer or mixed with fried stuffs). It was a fun 2 hours dining experience with Chef Katsu, watching him prepare food for us and also for others. He was so passionate and detailed in preparing the food, always smiling all the time. For the price we paid, it was so worth it, we got around 15-16 different sushi, all very high quality and carefully curated. Our top three sushi were toro (melt in your mouth!!!), unagi roll and salmon. Honestly, all of the sushi were delicious, we got uni, squid, snapper.
