Zero Degrees is a micro brewery don't you know. Fresh beer and fresh ingredients for food is there game, and it's exactly what you get.
Besides having what looks like the cast offs from Ricky Gervais The Office littering the place, it is very stylish. The whole process is built in front of your very eyes as the fermentation tanks over look the entire pub(Brewery). It creates for some interesting noises and smells, unfortunately, beer wasn't on Air Wicks agenda when they wanted to make the land smell better...
This would be a place for a beer tasting adventurer I would like to say.
I didn't have a clue what any of the beers tasted like before hand and just went down the list. Some were awful and some were ok, nothing really stood out for me. The fruit beers are however interesting but a little more expensive then the rest.
Onto the ze prices. Looking at the shirt and tie bridgae in here and the level of the classy modern stoned decor, I thought it would be over priced...As Cilla Black once said, 'surprise surprise' it actually wasn't. Bar the fruit beers, everyone was under £3. That's great for an upmarket bar in Cardiff...Not bad for a pub either to be honest.
As mentioned, food is available too and they claim to use fresh ingredients. I haven't actually eaten there so cannot comment personally. The menu is Italian essentially and some of it did look really well presented as other customers ordered around us.
Situated opposite the Millennium Stadium, I can see this place complimenting an evening before a concert or the such as a good night out and should be tried at least once. Especially if your into your beers/ales etc read more
