    Mother's Day gift
    Lucila B.

Lovely handmade soaps and amazing service! I live in NYC and contacted Sonia super last minute about delivering a Mother's Day gift basket to my mom in Miami. She took care of it super quickly and delivered it first thing Sunday morning. My mom was so surprised and loved all her goodies! It's a pleasure to support small businesses like these- thank you Sonia!

My new moisturizer and handmade soaps

Sonia and her boutique are amazing! Truly a hidden gem in the Design District. Her store has a great set up of fantastic skin care products alongside her beautiful handmade soaps, jewelry and other goodies. I purchased a deep cleaning facial on Groupon. She explained everything she was using as she put it on and gave me samples to take home and try. Her extractions were painless and she practiced her foot massage technique on me while my oatmeal mask set in; fine by me!! It's been a little over a week since my visit and my skin looks drastically clearer, smoother and softer.. I 1000% recommend Olsuss and have already been back to purchase products and soaps.

    Had a wonderful pampertime

Parking is a mess on the street right now due to construction on the street and we ended up walking several blocks to get here. The Wynwood Shop began in an alleyway in 2013 and many of the artists who hand make the wares displayed in their store on NW 35th Street have been with them since the beginning. Upon walking in I was impressed with how bright and open the store was. The walls are lined with an eclectic assortment of jewelry, accessories, clothes, and art. I even found some that were on sale. You can find even more sale items at their online store. Some of it was interesting like the Barbie earrings and David Bowie necklace but my favorites were the unique sunglasses and delicate bead necklaces. This is a cool place to stop in when you are walking around Wynwood. You may pick up a unique gift or a little something shiny for yourself.

Duck World was founded in 2023 by Filip Perkon and Irene Fedotova who has a passion for rubber ducks. They went on to open five stores in London. This store in Miami Beach opened in December of last year and it is their first US retail store. Duck World Miami Beach is 1,500 square feet and offers 800 unique duck designs. There are classic ducks, limited editions, and even artwork made out of tiny rubber ducks. Ducks can be found in the form of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, Miami Beach tourists, The Royal Family, bride and grooms, unicorns, different professions, other animals, movie characters, pop stars, video game characters, Godzilla, Wicked ducks, and horror icons. Ducks are around $15. I was especially amused by the Back to the Future ducks and the Jigsaw duck. The art work is really cool. When you look closely you can see that it is made up up of hundreds of tiny rubber ducks. If you follow Duck World on Instagram they will give you a small duck for free or you can purchase it for $1. If you find yourself near Lincoln Road, waddle on in for a one of a kind experience.

You will definitely find something special and enchanting here. I had to limit myself because I had to keep in mind what would fit in my luggage, but I was still able to have a good haul. This store has the usual categories for museum gift shops, like jewelry, gifts and children's toys, but there were also some more offbeat categories like dog toys and clever housewares that really make the assortment stand out. They also serve coffee and I think some light bites here, so there are some tables set up to enjoy that. The girl at the counter was super- nice too- it just felt like a really cool place to hang and discover neat stuff. If visiting the Wolfsonian, I would 100% recommend capping off your visit here. I'm so happy with the items I got, and would easily comeback on my next trip to Miami Beach to acquire some more nifty things.

Opened to the public in 1995, the Wolfsonian was created by millionaire Mitchell "Micky" Wolfson, Jr., a Miami Beach native and collector and expert on modern design, architecture, and the decorative arts. He began acquiring much of what makes up the collection in the 1970's and he stored it at the Washington Storage Company facility on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach which is a building from 1926. By 1986, 90% of the building housed his collection so he bought the building and established The Wolfsonian Foundation in order to preserve the collection and make it available for research. In 1992 architect Mark Hampton to expanded and renovated the Washington Storage Company building, converting it into a museum and research center. Hampton and architect architect William Kearns created a modernist lobby, museum café and shop. Upstairs are permanent and temporary galleries along with a library, offices, and storage. The museum is one of seven campuses of F.I.U. University. The gift shop for the museum is a very unique and elegant space. Displayed on a beautiful 1915 shelving system by Snead & Co, the Design Store sells a carefully curated collection of design inspired travel accessories, stationary, bath items, household goods, watches, jewelry, clocks, toys, and books that include award-winning Wolfsonian publications. I loved the cat yoga magnets, children's toy flamingo, and book, and note cards. The is the perfect place to find a unique gift for someone or something for yourself. The Cafe is a brand new addition to the museum and it serves ethically sourced coffee, drinks, cake, and pastries The Wolfsonian partnered with the Nandan Estate, an organic farm in the hills south of Nilgiri, at 4000 feet in Tamil Nadu, India. The coffee picks up the flavors of the cardamom, black pepper, chill and orange from the trees also grown on the farm. The café at the Design Museum is their second espresso bar to open. ,A museum entrance ticket entitles you to a ten percent discount at the cafe. You don't have to pay a museum admission to visit the Wolfsonian Design Store + Cafe. There is a separate entrance on Washington or you can enter from inside the museum. This summer is the perfect time to discover the Design Store + Cafe because the ground floor of the museum is free all summer as the upper floors of the museum are renovated and closed to the public.
