Don't be harsh. Don't be harsh... Alright...if you've read my reviews you know I'm a pizza snob. Growing up in Jersey/NYC...there's pizzerias everywhere - competition is THICK. With that said...I understand where I'm at. I get I'm in El Paso...BUT...you can't call yourself 1/8 pizza pub if the pizza ain't good. Straight up. I paid $30 for two 10 inch pizzas (charged a to go fee!!) and got cracker crust, bland sauce, pathetic looking pies. I was SO disappointed with the Margherita. I can't recommend anyone to buy it. At all. Just skip it. The suprimo isn't bad. It's not great, but it's not bad. What upset me was some of the sausage pieces were straight up cold. As if they hadn't been heated well in the oven. So not only am I super disappointed with the Margherita, but I'm getting cold pieces of sausage on my pie!!... I'm so upset. The price I paid, the size of the pizzas, the lackluster appearance, the absent flavor, the uneven cooking...I'm not a fan. At all. You wanna try it? Knock yourself out. I enjoyed the margarita pizza and appetizers. They also have a nice wine selection. The pizza is definitely on the thin crust side and I didn't enjoy the crust much. The crust taste bland. The service was fast but be aware that if you want to taste wine (like one sip) before ordering a glass or bottle, they do charge for each one you try. A lot of places let you have complimentary sample if you are planning to order a glass or bottle. It was also very loud and people were watching a game and yelling. Didn't expect it to be a sports bar vibe but it was. I guess that's why they call it a pub. Overall, just okay experience. 1/8 Pizza Pub is one of those kinds of pubs were the town congregates. It's a mix of people catching a game, pre-gamers, date nighters, and family nighters. It's small, but it's comfortable and the setting is perfect for any occasion. The outside looks similar to the pubs I've been to as a kid in Germany. Large, dark wood windows, a little shad for some tables out front, multiple entrances... all the good stuff. It was intriguing to say the least as I passed it while it was still under construction. They make good use of their space on the inside. The kitchen is tucked away, but looks out to the tables. The bar is large enough to accommodate a large group of people. Lighting stays low at night and the music comes up, but it's still a good spot for dinner and drinks. My absolute favorite thing to order here is the Linguine and Clams. It's buttery and sprinkled with crushed red peppers. It relatively inexpensive and the perfect portion for me, but I tend to also order (and finish) and appetizer beforehand and occasionally dessert afterwards. The pizza is amazing! Thin, fire-baked pizza. They have a couple of different options, but you can choose your own toppings and they have some unique choices like my favorite, artichokes. For starters, I'd recommend the Antipasto, Bruschetta, and the Shrimp Diablo. 1/8 offers a couple of different desserts and most of them rotate out, but if you have the chance to get the cheesecake, do it! They top their cheesecake with a warm berry reduction... sooooooo good! The crew at 1/8 are all great. Service is always above and beyond. I can't compliment them enough. They really know how to make you feel welcomed and make great recommendations on both food and drinks. We come here quite a lot so I'm sure we'll be there within the next week. A little too loud to be a enjoyable date spot. Unless you don't want to talk to your date. They have a mix of salads, Italian pastas, and appetizers, as well as thin, crusty artisan pizza. The waiter was a little overwhelmed and understaffed so service, although not bad, could have been better. The person waiting tables should not also have to make cocktails too, it just takes too much time. We ordered the Mediterranean salad which was fresh and balanced. We also ordered the marghareta pizza which had delicious fresh basil. It was good but we are fattys and were still a little hungry after finishing it. Overall it was a okay experience with the food being the best part of it, but the ambiance of the restaurant did not match the menu, the prices, or what I believe is trying to be achieved by the atmosphere. The pizza and flavors here are top notch. I would recommmend coming here early for lunch as it does get busy. The only problem I constantly have is that I always get tons of flour on the bottom of my pizza, and I mean caked on their. Warning: My STARS are value oriented. Price vs. Total Experience. First time here. Very small, very interesting place. There's a troubling review that's a few years old by a woman who says she was harassed by patrons. Given that the bar occupies 1/3 of the space, maybe the place sometimes is more bar than restaurant. I don't know. Because of the space, kids are probably not a great idea. They will have to stay put and behave otherwise they're bothering everyone. No corners to be kids in. Our service was great and the food was fantastic. Music was great. 311, Sublime... Support these guys! East El Paso need more like them. read more

Amaze balls!! Yet another addition to my favorite spots downtown! I've been feening for this place forever and finally got to try it for lunch with the hubby. I was kinda nervous to do it on his work lunch break, thinking it would be busy for the lunch rush or downtown traffic and packed parking. It was surprisingly easy and food service was ridiculously quick! I was wanting to try some Linguini and clams for the longest and their soup of the month sounded really good, so i had to try. Both were so good! The soup had shrimp in a tomato tasting broth with carrots and celery. It was the perfect starter! And my pasta?? Just what i hoped and dreamed it would be! They also serve a slice of delicious bread for both and i could eat that bit all day everyday! My husband also enjoyed his pizza but he wishes the pizza had a more thick crust. He's not a fan of the more artisan like pizzas. I loved it tho! And what he really loved though was the Kopke port they offer! That automatically makes him a fan of the place and he'll eat just about anything lol. We absolutely adore the setting of the place and it was located perfectly at the corner of the building so we can people watch like creeps lol. Dropped in for a quick dinner - had the Supreme pizza ($14.50) and a shared Mediterranean salad (fresh lettuce assortment, ricotta, mandarin oranges, walnuts), plus a fairly priced imported beer ($5). So much yes for 1/8 Pizza Pub! This is just an all around great spot. If I lived closer I'd be sitting at the bar all the time. This is a great spot for date night, a family night, happy hour, late night, dinner with a group of friends...take your pick. I could see myself stopping in to catch a game as well. Although the inside is kind of small and they're generally fairly busy, I've never had to wait for a table. The staff is super accommodating and often very entertaining. They clearly enjoy working at 1/8. They'll open the door as you're coming in, move tables around, joke with you; all while serving delicious food and drinks in great time. My absolute favorite thing on the menu is the sausage and peppers. It's a simple appetizer consisting of sautéed peppers and onions with Sliced Italian sausage over angel hair pasta tossed in olive oil. I'd like to eat a dinner sized portion. The pizzas here are thin crust and they offer a selection of toppings to please most palates. I try a different combination almost every time. I really like their white sauce. The bar has plenty of seating and a pretty good selection of tap and bottle beers as well as wine. The bartenders are fun and great at what they do. Recently tried 1/8 pizza on a Saturday night. I really enjoyed my experience there and will definitely go back. Located on the corner next to Joe Vinny and Bronson, 1/8 pizza is a cozy little pizza bar that has a very polished, yet still chill and welcoming, environment. I respect the fact that despite the relatively small interior space, the restaurant manages to have a lot going on. With a simple food and drink menu, its apparent that 1/8 pizza doesn't want to overwhelm you with options but do a couple things very well. For instance, the cocktail menu is nothing fancy (most elaborate thing on there was an apple martini) but both martinis I tasted were strong and on point. Likewise, the pizza was thin crust, but had impressive high quality ingredients. We ordered the suprimo (that's how its spelled) which was very good. We subbed the green peppers for jalapenos. For an appetizer we got the fried cheese block (exactly what it sounds like). I really lked the concept on this dish but execution was off. We were starving when we got this. Its a giant block of cheese with cruncy breading on the exterior. The dish comes with a side of sliced jalapenos and a generous amount of pita bread and marinara. The dish tasted great, but the cheese was unevenly cooked with parts of the cheese still cold from the fridge. Cook/waiter needs to make sure its cooked thoroughly next time. All in all I really enjoyed my experience. I liked the open windows letting in the cool air and the candles on the tables. Also, our waiter was exceptional. We were looking for a chill place for pizza without having that huge thick crust. Well we finally found it, this place was perfect. You can taste all the ingredients as opposed to just the bread on the pizza! We had the Primo Pizza and the environment was great the setting was like being in Chicago or NY with dark wood tables and accents everywhere. I got to see some of the other plates that people were ordering and they also looked really good we're definitely going back to try those!!!
