For Atascadero area - (Drivers - Ralph and Marvin) We had a bit of an unexpected disaster in our garage yesterday and needed stuff taken away ASAP. We have a bunch of family coming to town tomorrow so the timing was awful. I made an online appt. late in the afternoon yesterday and received a time frame of Noon-2PM for today. Ralph called well within the time frame and let me know when he was expecting to arrive and he was on the dot. I really had no idea how much it was going to be as they don't give a quote until they see what you have. I appreciated that we were not obligated to use the service after they provided the quote. It was more then I was planning but once we factored in how many trips to the dump it would take for us to do it, the time (which we did not have) and the possibility of getting another flat tire from being out at the dump, like last time, we realized it was worth the price. Ralph and Marvin were very professional, polite and got to work right away. I have never used a service like this before but I would have no hesitation using them again if we ever need to. Paul and Lee just left our place in Ventura County and they were so, so friendly, helpful, and efficient. They looked at our pile of junk we'd collected up for them to take with the best attitudes, then got to work and filled up the truck quickly. I was even adding more boxes to the pile as they worked and they were happy to squeeze the extra items onto the truck for us! I'm just so happy and thankful to have a cleaned-off deck and patio. I was shocked on how pricey the removal was going to be just for : dishwasher, sink,microwave,mirror original quote was $175. Wow! They came the day after I was online checking out their service! Justin and Justin did an amazing job. I had a old upright piano that needed to be moved out of a bedroom. They had to take off a door and a door trim piece to do the job, move a huge railroad tie to get the truck to the raised patio and helped in every way through the process without complaint. They were problem solvers and they carefully and cheerfully hauled away some very unwanted awkward trash and household items. They worked very quickly. We called them to remove some junk. We asked for a quote and they said they said they would have to see what we had. I explained what needs to pick up, still responded the same. I had no other way to get rid of the stuff. They said they could come out in a week. I scheduled it, they were late coming and very costly. So the advertisement they have on TV, does not depict what is really true. They don't come right away, are very expensive, and not friendly. Next time I will pay a neighbor to take away my stuff. Since one can't get an estimate without pile being seen, the minimum fee should at least be displayed on first page. It would save the frustration and wasted time for both customer and delivery guys' wasted gas and time! We had a very small pile and were shocked when told it would be $198. The delivery person showed a fee schedule and said it was online - but it's NOT! - and said minimum is $175. We told them their services were not needed because the fee was outrageous. read more

I needed a lot of junk removed from our new home, stuff that was left from the previous owner. The got junk website was so easy to use, I was able to book a same day appointment on my iphone. A nice guy named Rudy called me before my appointment, and he kept me updated on his arrival time. He was sincere when he said he was going to be late. I didn't mind at all because I really wanted all this junk hauled away. Rudy showed up with his crew, Philip, Danny and Jacob, who also came by the next day to finish the job. Rudy and his crew worked so fast. They picked up all the junk and also disassembled furniture that needed to be broken down before going on the truck. They swept my garage and my driveway after the job was done. I was waiting for movers to arrive and my daughter saw some "got junk" employees nearby. I had some items I had decided not to take with me on my move, so my daughter flagged the "got junk" employees down. They came up to my apartment and quickly loaded the recliner, rocker, and folding desk. They were friendly, courteous, and competent - did a great job. I highly recommend them. Here's the thing, these guys are the only people/company that come into your home, take away all the boxes, old lamps, dingy couch (i.e. Your junk), loads all of it on a truck and gets it out of your hair. Other services, charities & a government agency that offers junk removal does not offer doorstep to doorstep. 1800GotJunk does all the moving whereas other similar services tell you to put your junk on the curb in front of your house. I got rid of a couch, a bunch of shelves, a large ikea "painting", boxes; I had a lot a lot a lot of stuff that became junk. Three guys came, right on time, and removed some stuff I'd had in a room for years. Why in heaven's name I was keeping it is beyond me. We cleaned out my in-laws home and were overwhelmed with the amount of junk that had to be removed. It took 3 truck-loads! Ferman and Rudy did two of the three loads and were professional and so fast. They arrived early and were able to remove all the garbage bags and furniture.
