I received a quote for my move. When Mark showed up with 4 other guys to move a 1 bedroom 1 1/2 bath apartment of 998 sq ft. They completely emptied every file and legal paper out of my roll top desk & threw it in a box and did not bother to wrap the desk at all. They emptied my protein bars, crackers and 13 bags of microwave popcorn from their containers and threw all of that in a box with numerous other items. Mark said he needed additional boxes & brought all small that he purchased somewhere. The only items that were shrink wrapped were my couches. I was told my coffee table & end tables would be wrapped. They left everything under my kitchen sink 2 sides, plus a few dishes that were not packed. I moved that myself, plus left 2 or 3 empty boxes in my apartment. Needless to say the actual quote almost doubled. I am sure this was the plan. I have never dealt with such a total mess!! I am in a totally new complex & the people who have moved in are alerting others. read more

Movers beware! Be sure you get the price they charge in writing. The first move was to a storage unit in the same town. They were great with this move. Wrapped everything up and was very careful and the price was good. After the move, the price was the same as what was quoted. Then we had them move all of it to another town. My husband was told a price and since they did great the first time he let them do it a second time. The company told him a price before the move. They did not wrap the first thing. We had damaged and broken furniture. When my husband went to pay, it was several hundred dollars more than what they said. We will definitely not be using them again. read more

The move itself went fine but they came with an extra person that wasn't needed and increased their hourly rate significantly without advanced notice. They disassembled some furniture that didn't need to be, adding extra unnecessary time to the move. They then tried to worm their way out of a promised discount at the end of the job. Afterward, my mom thought they still had one of her possessions on the truck and the driver was dismissive and unwilling to check the truck for her, claiming he would call me back. However, all he did was pocket dial me for a week until I had to block his number. read more

I was super excited to support a black owned business, however there was a lack of communication on Terrells part. I'm UTTERLY DISGUSTED by how he runs his operation. I was quoted one price and charged another. To move less than 15 minutes away, we were charged $1500!!!! It took them entirely way to long and they definitely took their time. While Buck and Kim were amazing, the others were taking time to pass out flyers to everyone in my building and play on our outdoor gym at my apartment complex. We were quoted $700-$800 from several different companies, but we love to support black owned businesses and smaller businesses, which is why we decided on this one. BIG MISTAKE I hope Terrell works on communication and commitment to pricing before taking advantage of people. I'm extremely disappointed and WILL NEVER recommend. read more

Terrill, David, Buck were my movers and I can tell you that these guys are professional and know how to pack a truck! On time, get right to work and they stay till the job is done. This is the second time I've used these guys in two years and they will definitely be getting more of my business. My niece told me about them, she's used them 3 times as well and comes back to them because not only is the price right, but they know what they are doing, everything wrapped up in blankets and they will even pack it for you. Our move lasted a full 12 hours from a home we've lived in for 23 years. They hung in there and I bought us all some breakfast and lunch, over eating breakfast we laid out a plan, more for our benefit and then you just step back and they make it all fit in the truck! We had a lot of heavy pieces and they got it all done safely and without and issues. Btw, Buck loves dogs! read more

These guys were absolutely great. I had accumulated tons of stuff in my apartment. So when it came time to move back to Georgetown for family it made it quite a chore -- especially being on the third floor. Terrell, Rickie and Keisha jumped right in and made quick work of it. They dumped the stuff off I no longer wanted and then made the drive to Georgetown and dropped off my stuff that night. This is a family-owned business and the owner was very flexible and personally game to the site to inspect the job from the beginning and during the move. VIP was a great choice! read more

Only giving one star b/c my movers, Rickie, Al, and Ryan were phenomenal! The owner, Mark, and his boy, Tim, have got to go. I reserved my move a week in advance and spoke with the owner 3 times confirming my reservation. The day of my move, nothing. I call at 9am, Mark gives me a bullshit story how his phone got wiped of information and he will have movers there at 12:30. 1:30 rolls around and I get calls from the movers asking to reschedule b/c Mark overbooked them. Only due to Rickie's outstanding customer service do I agree to push back a day. Mark sends Tim, his veteran mover, along with the move. Tim calls Mark so we can work out a discount. Mark is only trying to give a $50 discount for all that he has inconvenienced me!! I settle for $75. Tim then proceeds to only move light objects while letting the other guys work their asses off. His words were "I have been here the longest, no way am I working the hardest." He then used my bathroom and didn't flush the toilet. During the unload, Tim stayed upstairs where the fans were and didn't even place my boxes in the correct rooms while his team did all the work. Rickie, Al, and Ryan, phenomenal job. Thank you for busting your asses! I know a $20 tip isn't much, but hopefully you can enjoy a few cold ones for all your hard work! Sorry you work with assholes! read more

They called THE DAY BEFORE they were supposed to come and help move and said a truck broke down and they wouldn't be able to pick up my stuff until two weeks later, which extends past my current lease and wouldnt be able to drop off my belongings until after I was to start my new job. Worst of all, they wouldn't give the deposit back since they were "still offering to pick up my belongings". They were rude and unprofessional on the phone. We hired VIP Moving Company to move from our home in Burleson, TX to our new home in Corsicana, on Saturday, June 9, 2018. The entire experience has been a nightmare. It was a very hectic move, as they didn't arrive until 2:40PM. The move took 7 hours, so wasn't completed until almost 10:00PM that night. It was only AFTER they left and I took a minute to breathe and turned on all the kitchen lights (my eyesight isn't that great) that I discovered all the damage that had been done to my refrigerator. The next day when I started putting things away, I discovered my glass-top patio table no longer has a glass top. I don't know if they never loaded it, or if it broke in transit and they just didn't tell me. I also discovered that day that my computer desk had gouges on one side. I don't care so much about those two things. The patio table was nothing special and the computer desk is 20 years old. But what I DO care about VERY MUCH is that the finish on my high-end, side-by-side, door-in-door LG refrigerator, which cost over $4,000 when I purchased it a year ago, is ruined. The entire front of the refrigerator is covered with scrapes, scratches and dings. AND, a day or two later, once I had gotten it hooked up (the movers didn't connect it), I discovered my one-year-old Samsung top-loading washing machine had what appeared to be hail damage on the top front portion. THAT is minor ... but, much worse than that, IT NO LONGER WORKS. I'm certain that one thing that was damaged was the sensor which determines how much water the load needs -- as when I filled it with sheets to test it, it only put in about an inch of water, then just stopped. A repairman came today to assess the damage to the refrigerator. The scratches, scrapes and dents in the doors can not be fixed -- they have to be replaced, at a cost of $1,508.44. I have a repairman coming next Tuesday, the 19th, to diagnose the problem with the washing machine. I have no idea what THAT will cost. I have spoken to the owner of VIP Moving, Mark Hall, via phone, on several occasions and also emailed him regarding the damage. Initially, he sounded as though he would assume responsibility for the damage his crew had caused -- at LEAST to the refrigerator, although he did seem to waver on it each time I spoke with him after that. But, once I sent him an email detailing the cost of replacing the doors, he told me over the phone that he would NOT pay for the damage his crew had caused. He wanted to order doors from some place he knows of and install them himself! I did NOT want to let him do that, as my experiences with him over these last several days have not led to my having any trust that he would be able to restore my refrigerator to what it looked like BEFORE his crew got hold of it. He became very aggressive and angry with me on the phone -- so much so that I finally hung up on him. So, the bottom line is that I paid this moving company almost $1,000; and now, on TOP of that, I'm evidently going to be also stuck with paying for all the damage they caused to my appliances. I am a 70-year old, retired female, with very little savings, dependent upon my monthly social security check. Having to pick up the tab for all the damage they caused is going to take a pretty good-sized chunk out of my small retirement savings. So, a word to the wise: Look elsewhere if you need to move. You can not trust this company to ensure your possessions arrive safely at your new home. And you can not trust them to take responsibility for any damage they cause. read more

They damaged my washer and told me they were going to fix it. Then fell off the face of the earth. The manager said he was going to have one of his friends fix it. He would pick it up, take it to get fixed, then bring it back. I thought that was a little weird but I agreed. Then he stopped answering my calls. read more

Our dining table was was broken during our move. We were told that it was broken previously which isn't so. When I called to report the damages, Mark (the owner) said it wasn't on him. Paul blamed us and another worker. They have no accountability, they willppp just passed the blame unto the next person. They have not offered to pay for the table or to pay a portion of the cost. Paul only came by to tell us that the table was already broken. It can't be fixed. Someone else was suppose to come by to look at the table. They never showed up. We've called, but no one has followed up with us. We're still waiting to hear back. The dining table cost more than the move. What's the point of hiring "professional" movers? Our neighbor recommended VIP Movers. We compared their rates with other competitors and found that they were very good. They also had great Yelp reviews which I trust. The guys were running a few minutes late but called to let us know. And if you've ever moved before a few minutes late was actually great for us because we were running behind. Terrell David and Cameron were the crew that showed up at our door. They were all courteous very friendly and very careful with our items. We already had a lot of our furniture stretch wrapped but anything that we didn't they took care of that and got everything moved efficiently and effectively. They were moving fast and that is appreciated when you pay by the hour. We moved a 3-bedroom 2-bath house to 2 storage units. The truck was completely full when they rolled and the two storage units were completely full when they were finished. I really like working with the local movers on a local move. We had a cross-country move -so called full service and we did not get the good care from those so-called professionals. My experience with VIP is that these are people who really care about your things they care about your business and they love to have you recommend them to your friends. And by the way in case you wonder it is very proper to tip the guys who make your move happen. They busted their humps on a Saturday. Terrell David and Cameron earned every dollar! I didn't use this company but my new neighbors are. I left my apartment to run an errand to find that truck 2097505 was blocking me in. I asked the driver if he was going to be much longer because his truck was blocking my car and while he did move the truck he made sure to complain to me that he had already had to move three times to let people out. He could've easily parked on the other side and blocked nobody and I'm guessing he didn't because it is a fire lane but where he was parked was also a fire lane. When I got back from my errand his truck and trailer were back but this time jackknifed effectively blocking the entire parking lot and keeping people from accessing their apartments. Utterly ridiculous and very inconsiderate! I am having furniture delivered today and now they won't be able to access my building. I will make sure to never ever use this company EVER. read more
