Pricing was fair in my perspective if you factor in labor (two guys), truck and insurance fees they pay, gasoline prices they pay, and recycling fees they pay for the item I got removed. I appreciate that they were so responsive and great at coordinating a pickup time. They came the same day that I called to make an appointment, but needed to return the next day to finish the job due to my own fault of not having the side gate key. They arrived at the time we had discussed, and removed the item promptly. I would highly recommend them, and would use them for other services to pick up junk in the future. Not at all a good experience. Lost me forever Got Junk! An appointment scheduled a week ahead for pick up was not honored. On the scheduled day, I received a call informing me that the truck was running approximately 90 minutes behind schedule. Shortly after, another call came in stating they would be delayed by a few hours. Keep in mind, the designated pick-up time was between 12 and 2 pm. Then, at 5:45 PM, another call arrived, this time stating, "We're in Escondido." Seriously?! It's unacceptable to set an appointment that cannot be kept. I don't mind being informed that a truck is running late. What I do mind is the BS. We waited around for that damn 1-800-Got-Junk franchise all day. What a huge waste of time. If you reside in Murrieta or the surrounding area, I recommend bypassing the 1-800-Got-Junk franchise and opting for a local service. Mike G. and Tim were INCREDIBLE! i selected a timeslot from noon up to 2 o'clock in the afternoon. However, I was contacted at about 11 AM saying they were coming a little bit later than my timeslot and asked if that was okay. Luckily, I was available for the day and said it was no problem. They contact me again at around 1 o'clock stating their arrival would not be until 4:30 and 5:30 PM. I said that was still not a problem as long as I was able to get rid of my couch and nightstand today. Upon arrival, i gave Mike and Tim waters because i knew they had a lot to load today considering the appointment i made was pushed back. the gentleman said they felt guilty and wanted to give me a discount. i was originally going to be charged $149.99 but ended up paying $120 for my items to be taken. i am extremely grateful for these men. moving out of state is so stressful and they made my day a lot better with their kindness and generosity. i hope Mike G and Tim get the acknowledgement and appraisal they deserve for going above and beyond for me today. if you two gentlemen see this, i hope you know how thankful i am and be safe out there! ... and stay hydrated lol read more

When I went to pay the young man told me it was $160. per hour for labor, they were here for 1.5 hours. An additional $240. I was NEVER informed of labor charges. I told him this & he argued with me that he had informed me the previous week. He did NOT, this is not something I would have forgotten. When I gave him my credit card it asks for a tip. Spencer and James were fantastic! They made sure to let us know throughout the day as to an ETA to our house. Unreliable during a difficult time. A recent death in the family forced a much needed house and garage clean out. Called 1-800-got-junk to give us a hand with the process. Day of the clean out they called to reschedule 3 times. Once they showed up they were great, attentive, helpful and got as much as they could done considering it was already after 6pm. Before they left we scheduled them to return again for the next day to finish up. Here we are, the next day. They've already pushed back their arrival time once and are at this moment late for the rescheduled time. We called Junk Removal Heroes this morning needing an alternative source. Jay was great. He showed up by himself within 90 min of calling him and he kicked butt. Jay hauled away a huge trailer (bigger than the 1-800-got-junk trailer) and charged us $200 less than they did. We're going to keep today's appt with 1-800-got-junk, if they ever show up but be sure that we'll be contacting Jay at Junk Removal Heroes with any further needs in the future. I don't understand how the other company got to be "North America's largest junk removal company with this kind of service. Update! We just called 1-800-got-junk to see when they're coming and they told us they couldn't come till tomorrow now. We had to go looking for them. Used these guys when I needed to rid of a mattress + boxspring in one day. I flubbed up my pickup address on the website and they called me shortly after to get that sorted (I put in a riverside county city, typo'd an orange county zip code, and my phone so happens to have a san diego county area code). So they definitely stay in top of their website reservations. They kept me updated on their arrival window (it was initially 2:30-4:40pm) and any changes that came up. And changes did come up because the previous job turned out to a bigger job than they were told. They finally made it to my place at 8pm (which sounds bad but they kept me informed of their arrival window and would always ask if it was okay-- and it was, for me) and were in and out in a matter of minutes. Their website lists their prices up front without you having to call or get an estimate when the truck shows up so I knew what I was getting into for my straightforward job (mattress + boxspring combo was 169). I don't know much about the junk hauling economy but I guess that's standard pricing. If I didn't need to get this stuff out immediately I probably would've been better off buying a handsaw and cutting everything to pieces to throw in the regular dumpster, but unfortunately I didn't have the time for goofing around and for that these guys worked great. read more

Associates had me simply point out the items I need taken and they did all the work and even brought their own brooms and picked up any mess left under/around my junk.
