I scheduled a pickup with 1-800-GOT-JUNK? for 3/26/26 and THEY canceled on me. Fine, I rescheduled for 3/29/26 between 1-3 PM at my brother's home. We had people there waiting, ready to clear everything out... and they NEVER showed up. At 3:30 PM, I called customer service. Sandra put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back, and casually told me they "weren't going to make it" but could offer a discount. A discount for not showing up at all? Completely unacceptable. I asked for a manager. She put me on hold AGAIN for 25 minutes, only to come back and say she "couldn't find one" and would "open a case" and someone would call me tomorrow. Tomorrow? After wasting an entire afternoon and leaving us stranded? To make matters worse, they claimed they tried to call me and my phone "wasn't working." My phone works perfectly fine. No missed calls. No voicemails. Just excuses. I ended up calling a local company, Angel Junk Removal in Cerritos, (562) 341-5430 and they immediately stepped up and said they could be there by 5 PM to get the job done. Yes, they cost a little more, but at least they show up and respect your time. This company is too big, too disorganized, and you are clearly just a number to them. No accountability, no urgency, no respect for customers. I would never use them again. Save yourself the frustration and call a smaller, reliable local company instead. read more

We are in LA and were connected with the group in West Hills, CA. Montonio and his partner Jose were respectful, communicative, prompt and efficient. When they gave me a quote I nearly passed out. My husband and I were willing to pay 5 times more. The local hauler had quoted us 4 times higher and asked us to help him load his truck. Well we are in our 70's and if we could lift the stuff ourselves we would just haul it to the street ourselves and call 311. Anyway, 1-800-Got-Junk asked us to do no such thing, they work in pairs, had no trouble getting everything in their truck and we were done. I will never consider a local hauler again. Charles and Demagio came to meet at time promised the previous by a customer service rep. also giving me a call 30 min prior to their arrival which was perfect because I did not live at the location. Anyway, they gave me a quote based on the amount of space stuf would take up in truck. it was 500.00 for 1/4 of the truck. seemed fair. I hope that was a good price. I honestly needed to just get it done. The best part is they were very fast. they really knew how to take a lot of stuff fast. I would probably use them again for other similar situations. read more

He was very cordial and pleasant to deal with, which I am finding lately customer service is lacking, but not with this company. They are very accommodating. Edgar, who did the actual moving, was a pleasure to work with. Very efficient , helpful and such positive and kind energy also. To me that says a lot about the care they have toward their clients. He is truly a positive asset to this organization . I am in my 70's and cannot remove these objects.They will be my forever go to company for this service. I highly recommend them. These guys have been loudly dragging heavy items down flights of stairs and bellowing across our courtyard since 7am (which Im fairly certain is outside the window of when we are permitted to move in and out). They came to get some things, and their truck was already full. They couldn't get everything, yet they charged me almost $900! They put some things on the side of my house, so I didn't know they didn't take it! There is no rhyme of reason as to how much they charge--they literally just pick a number and charge you!! They came back the next day and told me they were charging me $100, only for me to get an email receipt of $299! They are dishonest! They overcharge and underdeliver! I would like my $100 tip back, as well as the $199 they overcharged me! DISHONEST BUSINESS!! Today they no showed! Please don't use them! Run don't walk to a different company! read more

I booked an appointment over the phone for a garage clean out, and removal of an old king sized mattress frame, boxed springs, and 45 years of stuff, needing to be gone from my parent's house. Sam and Micah were absolutely wonderful! Arrived on time this morning, loaded everything quickly, and very professional. I always saw the commercial's on tv, and no better time like the present to get rid of unused junk. Please people, tip your workers, times are tough, and they much appreciate it. Called Got Junk two days ago and set up an appointment for Friday morning. Drew called to tell me they were on their way. They arrived in the time scheduled. Drew and Sonny were a great team. Very friendly....seemed to like their job and was eager to make me happy! They were quick and efficient. They worked well together. They did equal amount of the loading. They filled up a complete truck with mostly construction material. They gave me a receipt as well as sent an invoice through email. Very professional company. I will gladly recommend them to friends and family. And will request Drew & Sonny again. Many thanks to this hard working team for making my garage look nice and clean! BRENDAN AND ANDREW ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED IT!! They were on time, removed my junk quickly and efficiently, and remained calm when tenants in my apartment building were going nuts about losing their junk.
