The men that came to remove my sleepsofa, I couldn't say enough good things about them. Respectful, polite, didn't break anything. They were very nice young men. But the company.... We paid 480.00 to remove 1 sleepsofa that took less than 15 minutes. In my opinion a bit pricey. You tell them what you have on the phone phone and where it is located but they tell you once they evaluate the situation and items they will give you a quote. I feel they could have given me a price over the phone but they don't until they get to you. I only had one item. I know if they gave me that price on the phone I would have said no but you get backed into a corner. If you use them just know you will get a price shock. read more

Ryan and Jose were fantastic. Communicative, pleasant, professional, reliable and courteous. There was some confusion about the appointment, but they stayed and took two truck loads of "stuff." I live in the Providence area. I was able to get same day service from 1-800-got junk. A little higher price than I thought it would be. However, the 2 gentlemen that moved my old cabinets and granite countertops were absolutely amazing. They worked so hard . They were very careful and conscientious in my home. We are VERY happy with their service!!! They were scheduled for 10am and called to see if they could come early (which worked great for us) and arrived at 8:30am. We were quoted $350 and it would've been $350 but we added on a mattress and few misc items so it went higher expectedly. The team was SO friendly, fast and pleasant to work with that I tipped them each $20. They didn't have exact change so if you plan to pay in cash, keep that in mind. I needed some items 1 couch 3 GARBAGE bags 1 box and a mattress. THAT WAS IT.I had made the same day appointment,for 230-430 at 245 they called me said they would be here in 45 minutes. At 430 they call and say we are here they were not .I told them precisely where I was and they said 5 minutes away. At 510 they arrive, look at the couch and the other items and said $217 +$70 to dump the mattress. I needed it gone so I said yes. I have always seen 1-800-got-junk trucks all around the country. I needed one of my rental houses to be completely cleaned out of all its contents, a tenant left behind. I set up the appointment online and they were able to accommodate me on Friday morning. They called to get the details of the job and explained how the billing worked. Obbie and three other guys showed up exactly on time and even called 30 minutes before. I can't even tell you how impressed I was with how professional the team was. They had the whole house cleared out in an hour and filled up one truck with junk, that resembled the work of an expert Tetris player. The company charges by the unit and there was not one inch that was not full. All of the guys worked so hard. Was quoted a price of 200 but charged 319 gave them 320 cash and was told that they don't have change not even 1 dollar what's up with that. I know that you charge by how much space is used on the truck but when they took the sheets of plywood and loaded them at a angle against the side of the truck instead of laying them flat yes it would take up more space I feel that because I am elderly that I was taken advantage of I could have packed the back of the truck better they just wanted to load up quickly and go. These guys charged me $575.00 to remove the junk from my old house. More like robbery, if you ask me. They came with this tiny truck that had a couple of mattresses in it from a previous job- the truck filled up quickly- of course. You are better off hauling your trash on your back yourself than spending this amount of money for a job that barely took 30 minutes. read more

Awesome! This is the best way to get rid of old furniture and large items. We had to get rid of couches that could not be donated due to their condition (5 pets over the course of 9 years...do the math). So worth the money to get them out out of our hair and not have to lift a finger. They even got rid of a pile of garbage hanging around the basement. They showed up 3 hours late. The first two guys were decent and they took everything I asked them to. They loaded things quickly and things were going well until Stephen showed up. I think they sent him in to do the "dirty work". He's a scam artist but not a particularly good one. They loaded the truck by standing stuff up on the side and then put other stuff flat. I've read on other reviews that they try to fluff up the stuff. Side stacking makes it hard to estimate how full the truck is. The initial estimate was 1/2 to 2/3s full. It was just about 1/2, but Stephen insisted that I had to pay for 2/3 because that was the original estimate. In the end he said he would only charge me for 5/8s (split the difference). I wasn't pleased but the guys had worked hard so I gave in. The cost was $447. However Stephen wrote $477 on the slip. I assumed he made an honest mistake but when I pointed out the difference he immediately took offense. He got loud and insisted he wasn't trying to cheat me. It was over the top and I hadn't accused him of trying to cheat me. I figured he just wrote it down incorrectly but he seemed to have a guilty conscience. I was paying by credit card, so he handed me his phone to sign. As I did so I noticed the amount on the screen had now jumped to around $580. Again I questioned the amount, he snatched the phone from me, punched a couple keys and handed it back. What I find odd is that I think he had added in a tip (a hefty one considering I'd already agreed to pay for a bigger load and they were 3 hours late). But instead of saying, oh that's for a tip or something to that effect and giving me a chance to tip them, he just snatched the phone from me. When he left, my son who was outside heard him say to the other two workers that "I didn't fall/go for it". One of the other guys said, "but I thought we were supposed to get the 580". I won't use 1-800-Got-Junk service again as I feel like they tried to cheat me, but they did take everything and it only took 20 minutes to load. If you do venture to use them, be prepared for them not showing in the time window and check everything before you sign. read more
