I cannot say enough about this moving company. My mom and dad who are both older help moving from a very large house into another house. The whole thing took three days between the packing loading and the actual delivery. All of the guys treated my mom and dad so much respect and kindness and they did such a great job packing as well. I am SO GLAD I called these guys! A real local person answered the phone. Super friendly customer service. They scheduled us fairly last minute. No waiting for a quote. He gave it to me right away. Great price! The movers came and unloaded our Pod into a three story house. They were so careful and quick and professional. The movers were all so nice! Our duplex neighbors said they were shocked that they didn't hear any noise from the movers. They didn't bump one wall or scratch anything. Don't let the name "Economy" in the title fool you. These guys are a 5 Star experience. One of the best moving experiences I've ever had (and I've moved a lot). I moved from Barrington to Providence during a snowy/icy week. I had Frank, Lenny, and Kenny. These guys were just A+ pros. No issues with the ice or snow. Stuff I never thought I'd see fit through doors they engineered and worked out. Frank was super down to earth, friendly, professional. Lenny, was friendly, cared about me as the customer. Kenny, just worked non stop to make sure the move happened fast. They didn't complain about some of the bigger furniture. They told me when I was worried "Don't worry about it" The contact at the office Cheryl, was friendly, no hassles, no frills. I moved an entire 2 story hours in 2.5 hours. They didn't care I was a horrible packer. They were polite. Cheryl was amazing at booking, I was worried without a confirmation - don't worry - they'll be there. Frank, Lenny, Kenny, Cheryl. Beware, they may not show up if they get a bigger job for your time slot. Very frustrating when moving and your movers don't show up! They came up with all kinds of excuses such as "the truck broke down". When questioned when they would get to me was told "they are finishing up another job"?? Wait, I thought you just said the truck broke down??? The man on phone continues to lie to me and asks "are you in a hurry"? How rude! Of course I'm in a hurry. When moving you have all your ducks in a row and not showing up creates a domino effect that causes great distress. Would not recommend this company. Zero stars from me. read more

Having movers makes an amazing difference when moving apartments. I had a great experience with Economy Movers overall. The scheduling/admin person Cheryl was responsive and very nice. I was able to coordinate everything via Yelp and email, which automatically earns big points with me. I had a local move on very short notice. My movers showed up promptly and got right to work. I was honestly a bit shocked how quickly my 2BR space was hauled out. Note that I did pack most of my items already and tried to be clear with instructions. They were also very friendly and generally careful; despite giving me a minor heart attack when one guy did carry a smallish fragile box by the back of his head/neck, the only casualty was the weighted base of a dinky $5 floor lamp. My husband and I could not say enough good things about this company. We moved from a 1st Floor apartment to a 3rd Floor apartment, so one half was easy, and the other half was a brutal slog for these men. But they handled it with professionalism and amazing speed! We had a complicated move out with awkward staircases and numerous very large, extra heavy pieces of furniture. The 3 men on our job were cheerful, engaged, professional, hard-working and thoughtful. Furniture was handled with care and frustrating moments were handled with aplomb. They maintained good spirits despite a long day, complicated by masks and strenuous work. As others have said, moving can be stressful, but the crew we worked with honestly took the stress out of the day for us! Economy Movers are awesome! They were easy to work with, reliable, and on-time to start. They sent three professional movers, Jason, Ron, and Frank, to move me from a 1 bedroom apartment on the third floor to a single family house. They were fast - literally running when not carrying items. I was done from start to finish in 2.5 hours. Everything was packed and wrapped neatly and carefully. Not a single ding or scratch on anything, furniture and walls included. I have a couch that needed to be moved from the third floor to the ground via the balcony and it barely slowed them down. The last moving experience that I had was a nightmare, which is why I was so incredibly blown away by how great Economy Movers were on my moving day. Kind, courteous, and overall great guys! Moving can be quite traumatic. Especially after living in one house for forty years. You tend to acquire a LOT of stuff. My wife called Economy Movers and talked to Cheryl who couldn't be more helpful. We were looking at a two day event and she helped move things around so we didnt have to pay for movers for two days. They arrived both times precisely on time with a team of three incredibly hard working employees who made quick work of loading, transporting, and unloading all of my earthly belongings. They took special care to pad anything fragile and secured items in the truck to prevent them from shifting. They laid my rugs down and positioned all the heavy furniture exactly where I needed it, before unloading the smaller boxes, which made for the ideal way to have my new apartment remain functional despite there being many boxes yet to unpack. Showed up without moving boxes! Said that I failed to tell them that I needed moving boxes for my move - REALLY! What moving company shows up without a single moving box? I did not ask for wardrobe boxes only - the owners response is inaccurate. The moving company did not discuss the move sufficiently and I assumed that packing boxes would be available for a person moving the contents of a room. This was my first time hiring movers so I didn't know what to expect. It's two days later now and I still have no regrets. They arrived on time (shorty after 9) and had my whole one bedroom loft packed in their truck in under an hour. This included a king sized bed, mattress, nightstands, bureau, desk, book shelves, entertainment center cabinets (6), coffee table, end tables, couch, love seat, ottoman, and about 15-20 boxes of various sizes. An hour drive later they moved everything into the new apartment (3 flights of stairs, no elevator) in about the same amount of time. In 90 degree weather no less. All in all they had the whole thing wrapped up in about 3 hours, point to point. I'll be honest I was worried at first about the results since they gave me the best price out of 3 other companies in the area but these guys are totally legit. This was my first experience hiring movers, and I was not disappointed. These guys were fast, endlessly polite and easy to work with. They showed up at exactly 8:30, and we were completely moved to the new place by about 1pm. They even took my crappy IKEA bedframe apart and reassembled it like it was a real piece of furniture! Considering it took my friends and I a whole day to move in, this was like a dream come true. If you have super steep and narrow steps, I highly recommend just leaving the moving to the pros. We emailed them and set up a date and time, and after that, everything kind of took care of itself. The morning of the move, three guys showed up and one of them went over the fine print with us regarding what they can/ can't move (clothing on hangers is pretty much what they won't move) and the optional insurance. We opted out of the insurance because none of our stuff is particularly valuable or irreplaceable, but everything made it to the new place in perfect condition. I was just thrilled with this experience, and I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for movers. The price was well worth it, and we gave them each a $20 tip for being so awesome. read more

We moved in Providence this past Tuesday. The guys showed up early and were ready to go immediately. I was surprised how efficient they were and in no time the truck was loaded. They were courteous, pleasant and professional. We picked up lunch and they were polite and very appreciative. From there they proceeded to unload up three flights of stairs, all the time exhibiting good humor. They knew exactly what they had to do and how to do it. It is unfortunate that I did not reach out to the owner at the time, because he seems like a stand up guy and this one mover should not represent his company. After posting my initial review he reached out to me to apologize about the experience and assured me that the employee in question would be dealt with. I ended up being really dissatisfied with these movers. I have used economy movers in the past and the guys that helped us were great. This time however the men that helped us were not the same. The man that was "in charge" of them had an attitude when commenting about him and one of the other guys being on there phones and pretty much taking breaks while moving us in. Also after paying $1500 they did not move all of the furniture up to my third floor. I now have to hire someone else to move that furniture. Do not recommend because you never know which people they will give you when you move. read more

I used Economy simply because my boyfriend used them first -- moving from our separate places into our together home. I was going to go with another company who appeared to be half the price. My boyfriend INSISTED I used these guys and that they were worth every penny. (Especially going into a brand new home) A guy named Jason called me while on their way and he was AMAZING!! Almost all positive things to say about my experience on 10.29.19 with the team from Economy movers. Very professional, friendly, fast and efficient. Great value and were able to adeptly move some seemingly oversized items through narrow doors without issue or damage. Would recommend the team I had. My only negative was I scheduled for 1 pm and arranged my schedule but then accommodated the companies request to be available at 1100 am. They actually arrived at 1 pm. read more
