Dishonest and incompetent is putting it mildly. Straight out lies to multiple times. Days passed with no delivery. Dozens of calls before receiving any information. After finally admitting the multiple lies they offered a $55 credit and "possible" delivery within a week!!! $55 off a $725 order is an absolute insult. We called another company, had the dumpster delivered within 3 hours and zero issues with delivery or pick up. Will HIGHLY suggest calling anyone but budget! Our experience ... -On a Sunday I reserved a 30yd for Monday delivery online. Used the photo to show placement and paid. - On Monday I called around noon to see if they had a general eta and was told it wasn't coming until Tuesday. When I asked why I wasn't notified they said I received an email. I did check my junk and there was an email showing they changed it to Tuesday. A phone call would have been expected for such a change but we let it go. - Tuesday around noon I called and asked for an eta. They said we were next it would be about 30 minutes. We had helpers that day who had moved piles of items to the side yard waiting for the dumpster and our side yard was piled with items. 2 hours later I call and ask why they had not arrived. I was told they had attempted delivery but no one was there so that was a $150 charge. I told them we had 3 adults watching the window and multiple others hauling stuff to the side yard no one had ever come. They said they could try to get us on for the next day. I asked for a manager and was told they would call back soon. No one called so I called again at 5pm. I was told managers had left for the day (other person said they were there u til 6) and that the other person was wrong there was no attempted delivery. It was actually that dispatch looked at google maps when the truck was on the way and saw it would encroach on our neighbors driveway and so there would be $150 for being undeliverable. THERE WAS NO NEIGHBORS DRIVEWAY!! My just passed much loved mother in law was the only one with a driveway on the block. I admittedly lost it but that agent was so apologetic and meek that I quickly calmed. She had pulled up google maps and saw how ridiculous it was and said she would do what she can. Obviously they never came that night and a manger never called. -Wednesday (yard full Of trash and day before my loved ones funeral services began) I call again and am told a manger will call back there was a mix up and just wait for the call. No one called so I called again .. multiple excuses from multiple people the last one stating that the "actual" problem was the dispatch looked at the photos and a 30 yard won't fit in the driveway. The driveway fits 4 cars plus room all around. I told them at that point I just need something to get the trash out of the yard before the funeral services and just bring whatever size they can. I knew they were lieing but was feeling desperate. They said they MAY be able to get one by Friday. I told them we needed some today for the trash and they offered zero help and just apologized for the "misunderstanding." I told them we would find another company but I expected a free dumpster after the lies, being ignored and taking our money and that I would call in a couple weeks to have it delivered. They literally offered my $55 dollars credit!! $55 for hours on the phone, trash in the yard and being lied to!!! Absolutely disgraceful. They knew we had just lost our Mom, they knew the trash was piled and not one person cared enough to even try in the slightest to fulfill the contract signed and paid for. They have no regards for your needs or customer service, and are only looking to charge your card as much as possible. Details below: I had to ask the sales rep, Alex, twice for the cost of TV disposals. Alex and I spoke many times about my need for a 30 yd dumpster and the importance of a door on the unit so my crew and I could walk furniture in. He and I also spoke multiple times about my requests to have a phone call 30 min prior to delivery so I could guide the drop off. Not only was no call provided, but also the dumpster was placed less than a foot in front of a wall rendering the door obsolete. The customer service worsened when I called the sales rep back only to have him hide behind the complaint department and his supervisor John. After a few phone calls John told me could would cut the relocation fee of $150 in half so my team could use the door, but that the truck would not arrive until Monday. This was on a Friday and my job needed to be completed on a Saturday. This resolution was unacceptable and the discount for their errors was a joke. To make matters worse I later realized that even though I was charged for, and ordered a 30 yd dumpster, I was delivered a 15 yd. This now meant extra paid work hours and disposal fees for my company. Although the difference was refunded it took many frustrating phone calls as both John and Alex lacked the fortitude to face their errors upfront and hid behind the business women in the call center. The company even failed to properly schedule a pickup for the dumpster, I had to schedule a 2nd one after my client called to tell me the dumpster was still on their property. Budget Dumpster started off okay. The after is what causes the low rating. I ordered s dumpster and I will fully admit I kept it longer than the allotted 10 days. I submitted a pick up request via their website and received a confirmation email. The day came and there was no pick up so I called the company the next day and they said there was an issue with the online pick up form. They schedule the pick up over the phone and the dumpster is subsequently picked up and I pay for the overage fee. I then get a call stating that I will have to be charged additionally for the extra days between the online submittal and the over the phone reschedule stating they have no record of my online submittal. I let it go because 30 dollars wasn't a big deal. I should note that I had nothing other than a bin with some ice salt and some boxes in the dumpster. Approximately 5% of the dumpster used. About three days ago I got an email stating my dumpster was overweight by .60 tons! I called them stating that I had essentially NOTHING in the dumpster so it's impossible for it to be overweight. They said that that's not possible because they go straight to the dump after a pick up. After reading other reviews I notice I am not the only one. This place scams people to squeeze money out. I couldn't possibly say enough great things about working with this company, their local drivers, their sales and scheduling team as well as their customer service team, supervisors, and management team's whom all went way far above and beyond for me. I began by pricing out every local company in my area, but after talking to their sales and scheduling team member Joe Traylor, I no longer needed to price anyone out. He was exceptional not to mention no company came anywhere close to the price even on shorter rental periods plus they all quote without the mandatory fee's & taxes whereas Budget Dumpster does not. Budget Dumpster simply put plays no games and there really isn't even a need to haggle with them, because no matter what you need they'll come in hundreds of dollars lower than their competitor in the end, all while providing you with top notch customer service to boot. Our original rental period was initially set at only the 10 day minimum (and because my rental frame ended on a weekend I was advised to call on the prior Friday to schedule the pick up to avoid unneeded extension fee's. (Tbh this is the first time where most other companies would've and likely is where they'll make a quick buck off you and not even advise you to make that call, as I was, during the actual business hours should your rental frame end on a weekend.) I then made sure to call that Friday and due to some slight confusion on my end I accidentally scheduled a pick up earlier than I had planned. Needless to say their driver arrived promptly as (accidentally) scheduled and I had to turn him away. A few things I should mention though 1. This fantastic driver was the same driver who delivered my dumpster. 2. This was just about the kindest and sweetest service employee I've ever met or worked with before. 3. He took great care and concern to not only make sure I was comfortable with the service he was providing, but also that the dumpster didn't cause even the most minor or cosmetic damage to our property, double checking the driveway, making sure the lawn didn't get ruined and so on, (which I mentioned several times I wasn't concerned with at all) I'm talking this person went way above and beyond (especially given we're talking about a Dumpster delivery here.) 4. He later waited patiently for me to reach out to the company, explain my confusion, and attempt to clear it up quickly before he drove away without the dumpster and keep in mind these type's of mistakes are where these types of companies bring on all the fee's (Trip fee, cancellation fee, overage fee, overloading fee and so on and so on) that are where they make the most if not all of their profit, but every team member at Budget Dumpster put that last when it came to making sure I was treated well, treated fairly, and treated respectfully. I feel it's safe to say I absolutely was! This particular mistake brought on a hefty Turn-away or "Trip" fee. This was partially my fault. I remember the call and understood how my confusion caused the scheduling error, I was honest about this when speaking to customer service, but they wanted to make absolutely sure it was my error and not theirs so they connected me with a manager, Chris L., who promptly listened to my calls and concluded it was a little of both. Because of this arrangements were made to limit/eliminate that hefty fee from my final invoice, Something like 38 days later when I finally scheduled the pick up (with another Manager David who was equally fantastic to work with!) Chris L. However reached right back out to me directly and before anything was invoiced or picked up he made sure my total was, for lake of a better way to put it, basically the bare minimum I could possibly be charged for the service I was provided, the rental, the turn away, and the total days over the scheduled period that I had kept the dumpster on our property. In the end our full total was actually less than what I was originally quoted from each and every other company I priced out (also theirs all come without the mandatory service fees, delivery and pick up fees, taxes, and so on, because all other companies quote the rental's completely al la carte and budget Dumpster quotes the rental with every single fee or tax included) for the 10 day rental. Their quality customer service alone would've been worth paying much more than we actually did, but I'm happy to say that Budget Dumpster not only lives up to its name but comes along with a level of service you'd never expect. All this to say..... If you're currently looking for a dumpster rental and they're available in your area, than do yourself the favor and stop looking now so that you can give Budget Dumpster a call and experience their quality service and truly low prices yourself! Awful customer service. They quoted me that my dumpster would be at my house between 3 pm and 330pm. An hour later and I still dont have a dumpster. I called at 330 to request an update and the dispatcher took an hour to get back to me. I attempted to call 5 times during normal business hours and I keep getting put on hold for atleast 15 minutes. Customer service reps have an "I dont care" tone. It's been over an hour since I was told I was suppose to get a dumpster and the rep told me they were "running a little behind." I finally got my dumpster at 449pm but it had debris already in it! I immediately called customer service and spoke to someone who could do nothing for me. She transferred me to customer service and of course no one answered and I was sent to the same music hold queue. Only when I called to schedule pickup, did the rep ask how the service was and how they could fix it. There is nothing they could do AFTER my clean-up job is done; these are issues that should have been handled during the 10 times I called looking for help. Prohibited items list is too vague. Both the website and my contract do NOT list electronics as prohibited items but when I called to confirm with customer service they said electronics are prohibited. I fealt like I needed to call with an exact list of items I had to approve them all. I'm sure I will get a surprise charge for a prohibited item. read more

I would not use them again if you paid me. My boyfriend and I were hired to do an estate clean out in which we needed a LARGE dumpster. The first red flag was that the rep, Alex, had an attitude with me from the get go, but I overlooked my first impression with him and that was a wrong move. We contracted Budget for a 30 sq yard dumpster to be dropped off on a Friday so our work could both commence and finish on Saturday (they don't do drop offs or pick ups on the weekends). Alex assured us they would call us 30 minutes prior to the dumpster being dropped off, so that we may be there to see it arrive and show them exactly where we needed it. Placement was key because we needed a swing door, in order to walk large furniture in. We never received a phone call, it was dropped off, inches from the corner of the garage, where we could not open the door. This now made our job incredibly difficult, as we couldn't walk the 20+ pieces of large furniture inside. We called customer service only for them to tell us it would be an extra $150.00 charge to move it, even though it was their mistake. After spending about 2 hours in wait time to try and speak with a supervisor, a supervisor offered half the charge to move it (still $75.00 at our expense but their mistake) and it could not be done until Monday. Our job needed to be completed in one day, on Saturday. This was unacceptable. We figure just cut our loses, we have to break down the furniture which is going to take more time. But that's not even the kicker. Halfway through our estate clean out, we realized the 30 sq yard dumpster they charged us for, was only 15 yards. We NEEDED the 30 to get everything out of that house as we promised our clients we would in 1 day. Because of the difference in size, this delayed the job further. I then had to rent a van, find places to dump the remaining things and had to pay for the extra dump trips and gas. When we FINALLY spoke to a supervisor on Monday (where after calling on Saturday and making complaints we were told by a rep that they would call us first thing Monday morning - they did not) they did pay back the difference in the size of the dumpster, but nothing for any of the inconveniences or extra costs I had to incur due to their lack of professionalism and attention to us, their client. I called this company on 3/20/2020 for a small 10 yard dumpster to be delivered. They were working from home due to corona virus and had blotchy reception. I told them that I live in Florida, but the dumpster was delivered to Cumberland, ri, and to place it in the backyard. I received a call from the driver who left me a message that he didn't know where to place the dumpster, so he knocked on the door, noone was there, then he left! I was charged $150 for redelivery! So the cost is now 353 plus 150 for their mistake! I have contacted their supervisor, Halie, who initially insisted that there was work being performed on my septic system and the driver couldn't deliver. I told her that was NOT the case, no work on my septic system. Then she came back with that my sons car was blocking the 95 ft entrance. First of all, my son lives in Florida, second, if there were a car there, they would be able to get in! I am going to the bbb and attorney general's office about their business practices! read more

Have ordered two dumpsters from this place. The first one was delivered a day late and the second was picked up 3 days late. Both instances cost me significant $$ in labor charges since contractors were unable to work. Budget dumpster gave me pennies each time for their mistake. Do yourself a favor and contact your local dumpster company directly. Budget dumpster is just a broker. They charge the customer more than the local dumpster company charges them. If you call your local company and do a bit of negotiating, you can get a significantly better deal. Think 25-35% savings. Cut out the middle man and save time and money. read more

A few months back I had ordered a dumpster from Budget Dumpster to remove drywall from 2 bedrooms. They charged me $429 for a 10 yd dumpster up to 1 ton in weight. This price was extremely high compared to other companies at $289 (which I used after the fact). When the dumpster was removed they charged me for 3.76 tons (7,520lbs) for two rooms of drywall (about 35ish sheets of sheetrock) in a customers house. The total cost to me for this dumpster was $429 flat rate plus $372.60 in overages for a grand total of $801.60. To put the icing on the cake they left giant holes in a fairly new driveway due to the sharp bottoms on the dumpster. There was absolutely no way two rooms of drywall weighs more than 7,000 lbs. I contacted them and they basically told me to go screw and that its my fault for letting them rip me off in the first place. My customer refused to pay the overages so I had to eat the money as a small business owner and fix the holes in the customers driveway as well because Budget Dumpster would not refund. read more

I called and ordered a dumpster. It was to be delivered on a Friday. Dumpster never arrived and when I called the phone numbers listed, there was no answer. Message on their machine states they are closed Saturday and Sunday. I sent the company an email with the email address provided on their website. No reply! I called my credit card company and cancelled the payment and will have a new card issued. This company has cost us to reschedule 2 days worth of construction on our house. We are out of pocket close to a $1000 to reschedule the 2 days because this company is unreliable. Will never give them my business ever again! Update! Dumpster showed up Saturday around 11am. I didn't even get to rent the dumpster. I called on Thursday, hoping that maybe they could do short notice and get me a dumpster the following day. Of course they could not, totally understandable. I asked what would be the soonest. The gentleman (Joe X103) suggested that Tuesday might be the earliest. He put me on hold for about 5 minutes, came back and said it looked like Thursday would be the earliest. Not ideal but better than nothing. (They are opened but I didn't realize until signing on to their website this Monday morning for their number) Well I called Joe and apparently now Thursday is not even an option. As it turns out I should have just payed a little more and would have been expecting my dumpster today! Because now I'm paying more AND still not getting the dumpster when I wanted it. Buyer beware! Rented a dumpster for a cleanout before we had an addition. Personally filled the dumpster with my wife over the course of a week. Pick up was delayed multiple times. Well over a month after the dumpster was picked up we received two additional charges. One for over weight (less than $20) as expected and another for $450 (6 prohibited items). Had to call for an explanation of prohibited items. Representative was extremely rude and aggressive. Claimed we placed six mattresses in the dumpster. I explained that we didn't own six mattresses or ever have. Also explained that even so I knew of the prohibited items and associated charges and would have never disposed of six mattresses when my town dump recycles them for free. I live in a rural neighborhood, dumpster was under video surveillance and nothing was ever added to the dumpster by anyone other than my wife and I. After well over a half a dozen attempts to dispute the charges. I asked for proof that their were six mattresses in the dumpster, they could only provide a hand written pencil slip. Needless to say my roofers could not start on the day they planned. Of course, when it was time to pick up the dumpster, that happened bright and early. I found this place called "Budget" Dumpster and they were they only ones available w/ such a short notice (seemed weird, but I was against the wall). They gave me the highest price for the lowest tonnage of all the places I called which made me keep calling other services providers with no luck. Called a second time and rented out the dumpster. It arrived in the am and it was picked earlier than that. Needless to say, the dumpster was 3/4 empty!!! so I added a wooden baby crib and two doors (each less than 20lbs). They charged me almost $250 on top of the almost $500 the changed me previously for "exceeding upon agreed maximum weight limit" for a total of almost $800 for less than have full dumpster. MY RECOMMENDATION... IF EVERYONE ELSE IS BOOKED AND BD IS NOT, IT MEANS THEY HAVE BAD BUSINESS AND ONLY DESPERATE PEOPLE LIKE ME USES THEIR BAD SERVICE!
