I ended up taking it to GJ Computer Repair based on a reccomendation from "The Computer Lady". They took it apart, found the "faulty circut board", removed it and then re=installed it. Having spent over $800 for a very nice printer, I didn't want to just dispose of it. Shawn at Colorado Monumental Computer Solutions was happy to come out and work on my printer.
