I asked the man kindly to move his truck to the other side of the road or to park in front of the house he was working for and he told me he would "in a few" I then explained that I had to go to work soon and would not be able to leave if he put the truck back where it was. He told me " just come grab me." I told him I did not feel it was my responsibility to come get him to move the truck when he was not parked on the right side to begin with. He said he could park where he wanted and continued back into my neighbors house. I ended up having to call the police to get him to move the truck at all and he only moved it because he knew he was wrong. He also had no cones out warning cars of the truck, until I called. He still parked in front of my drive way but left my anointing neighbors driveway open just enough for me to fit. The point is I shouldn't have even had to call them in the first place I asked him multiple times to please move his truck before I called the police and asked the neighbors to request they move it as well. On the phone they discussed the big pieces of furniture in our apartment, the floor our apartment was located on and the type of housing we were moving into. That is when the manager gave my husband a quote for $90/hr for two guys and a large truck. We appreciated how timely the response was, the ease of getting a quote, and the manners the manager had while working with us. We booked them quickly because that was the best deal we had been given. Pre-moving day: They called 4-5 days before our moving date to confirm our appointment and asked if we had any questions. We appreciate this courtesy. Moving Day: Our movers showed up 15 minutes past our scheduled appointment time, however, we honestly weren't too concerned. Part of the reason we booked this company was because they begin their money-clock as soon as they arrive. Being tight on money, we decided to start bringing boxes down to where the truck would be loaded two hours prior to the truck showing up. This would take leg work away from the movers so they didn't have to do the stairs 8 million more times. The two men that were with us had very quiet demeanor's. They both were polite and worked along side my husband and I and our two friends well. Half way through the moving process the movers were getting to some of our bigger, heavier furniture. One mover had asked both my husband and I individually what our quote was. A person helping to clean my apartment heard the two movers talking while the rest of us were taking a lap down the stairs that they were upset that we were under quoted. They said that this should have been a three man job. Honestly, in hindsight, I don't blame them in the slightest - it probably was a three man job. Although, they made that slight slip when they probably thought they were alone, they maintained face and worked through the move. They wrapped our stuff up nicely and made the job look easier than I know it was. Moving in to our new place went by very quickly. The men took direction well and worked through any kinks that always come with moving furniture. Damage: We did have one piece of furniture that fell apart. They were quick to point it out to us. They took pictures of the damage. Thanks to their insurance and our agreement they will be sending someone out to see if they can repair it (it might actually be repairable, I think!) or they will be replacing it. Again, we don't place any harsh fault of this on anyone - this stuff happens! We just appreciate it being taken care of! Rating: I have given this company 4/5 stars because I feel like the office needs to find a different way to quote their customers. Reading these other yelp reviews it seems like that is a reoccurring issue. My movers would have received 5/5 but I will vouch for them in this instance that they were probably jipped.

If I could give this business zero stars I would. it was not explained to me that he had all this…read moredifferent costs that I was going to be paying for until after the move. He didn't come in his own truck, he rented a U-Haul which I wasn't expecting and was not mentioned in the beginning. He insisted on wrapping everything in sight, including the plastic trashcans that are like $15 from Walmart. Now of course in charging by the hour and choosing to wrap everything it made the move take longer. I explained that I had a time frame from the beginning because I needed to work the evening shift still. He didn't adhere to the time frame and I ended up missing work. I had a friend who helped unload the truck and if my friend had not had helped then it would have taken like another two hours. Also when they propped open the doors to get from the front door to my apartment door they used the laundry basket full of unwrapped glassware and the other door they used one of my boxes labeled fragile. I was extremely unhappy with their choices. If I had wanted to do my move using two people and a uhaul me and my friend would have taken a day to do it ourselves. The second guy was FaceTiming a girl and talking about having sex later which was wildly inappropriate and wasting time when things could have been being loaded or unloaded. He also said he had the address in GPS and he was following my vehicle back and forth (a less then 10 min drive) yet he got lost and made wrong turns every trip made to or from which wasted more time he expected me to pay for. He never made me aware that I would be paying for his travels from Normal IL to Decatur IL and back at the hourly wage quoted. When i originally asked if Decatur was in his service area he said yes, and I thought there was no additional fee because if there was one it would have been brought up at that time. while moving things into my brand new apartment he broke the blade on my ceiling fan in the kitchen, and while he has said that he would pay for it, it was so unprofessional the way he handled it. He didn't even catch that he had broke it until I said something about it being broken and he was the one who go went that direction. I'm currently waiting to hear back from my landlord about fixing it and the cost. This whole experience was absolutely dreadful and the mental and emotional toll it took on me was so much I want to never hire movers again. Definitely do not hire these two guys unless you have unlimited time and an unlimited budget for them to move your stuff like a secretary learning how to type. In response to Tylo's comment left 10-10 around noon, I have reached out to Yelp for a refund and a replacement fee to cover the price for parts and labor for my landlord to replace the fan. Right after he posted this comment he threatened to take me to court over a supposed remaining balance on my bill. Why would you hire a company that can't admit fault and just harasses you? I will admit I have not been updating Tylo about my discussion with Yelp thus far. Also since Tylo was the main one on team dragging his butt to make things take longer maybe he needs to take a look at his business practices instead of blaming it on some team he has. The "team" was him and one other guy who said he was his partner in the business. No one deserves to be bullied by a company.

I believe their names were CJ and Tanner, and the owner was Dwayne, and they were so careful, but fast, and our move was organized and completely problem free! They moved a bunch of very heavy wood furniture without a dolly, like it was nothing! No nicks in the walls or damage to any of my items, and I've had those issues with other movers in the past, but absolutely no issues with Bishop Elite Services! And their attention to detail was excellent. They packed fragile things (furniture with glass, mirrors, etc) very well using moving blankets and industrial sized plastic wrap, which I had never seen done, but it was very effective and I wasn't worried about the antique furniture from my grandparents getting damaged, I knew my heirlooms were safe with them. They also made sure all of the boxes went to the right rooms and their labels were all facing out. I've had movers completely ignore the labels and put things in wrong rooms with all the labels facing the wall, so I was extra happy the carefully labeled boxes ended up in the right rooms with labels visible. They also rearranged the furniture when we changed our minds about where things should go without blinking an eye. Plus the guys were all very nice, it was lovely to just chat with them during the whole process. They also do snow removal, hauling and other odd jobs, so you should give them a call! I know I'll be calling them for snow removal this winter! TL;DR: You should hire these guys!
