The music kept me tuned in, even if some of the commercials might have been a little annoying. Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, George Thorogood, Pink Floyd and a nice blast of Smoke on the Water from Deep Purple made the day. Whenever they talk about the Asheville area they sound like tourists and it can be annoying as a local who has grown up here all my life. Instead of shipping people in from out of state idk why we can't get a host from the area that knows what they are talking about. It seems very superficial when listening to Tiff and Michael. I usually turn the station when they are talking and flip back to listen to the music.

Advertising on the radio? I thought I would give it a try since businesses similar to mine are "all…read moreover" the radio, iHeartRadio stations in Asheville in particular. I met with a sales rep who told me we could get a 3-week run during "drive time" for $750. However, when the ads started running we got NO calls based on the ads (unlike social media which gives nearly instant performance). So, I asked what's up and they sent me the list of when the ads were running. More than 80% of them were 8 PM to midnight! None were in what I would consider "drive time" of say 5 pm to 6:30 pm. THREE ads of the hundreds scheduled were from 6:45 to 7 pm. The EXCUSE ("explanation") was that was "the best we could do with your budget". Well excuse me, but shouldn't you have told me that at the time of the sales meeting? You sold me a bogus bill of goods with a totally misleading description and when I asked for a refund for halting after a week you have said you'll "ask" management if I can have $100 back. What I got for my money was an EDUCATION - Don't use iHeartMedia unless you nail these people down to EXACTLY what they intend to deliver BEFORE you pay. (Caught once, shame on me!)

The Brew is one of those "We Play Everything" stations and they do. The music skipped from Aerosmith to Huey Lewis to Spandau Ballet to Madonna. Decent adult contemporary tunes where I knew most of the words. Minimal interruptions but they sure like to remind you that you can get this same content on your smart speaker if you're so inclined. Now, I do not typically listen to the radio, as I am generally familiar with what Asheville-area radio stations have to offer. So, I was pleasantly surprised by the sounds coming out of my new multiplex. I was whisked back to the 1980's, I reminisced while listening to those rockin' 90's hits, and then was delivered up a dose of some of today's catchiest tunes. I dare say its "Asheville's best mix of the 80's, 90's, and today"...
