I was very young then but remember the station on into my mid-teens driving my car and listening to the current tunes. It was AM radio and only broadcast during the daylight hours, BUT it was radio and it was what we had. I was there several times for interview for one thing and another but remember how nice it was to see that station ON THE AIR. My Dad died in 1954 but was so proud to see the station be approved and become functional. "Nat the Cat" was a local favorite DJ in the early 1960's.
