Beautiful shop, takes me back to a time long gone, the smell when walking in the door is amazing. The selection of cigars was amazing and the customer service was phenomenal, staff listened to what I was looking for and either helped me find it or gave recommendations to similar bends if they didn't have exactly what I wa ma looking for. There was a guy who claimed to be the owner (I'm not sure if he WAS or WASN'T) but I was pulling out of the driveway on my bicycle. Then an orange dodge challenger decides to pull in. Right NEXT to him is another drive way that goes to the same parking spots. I pointed to the left of me at the other driveway saying "go up that one. I'm pulling out" but he just sits there blocking traffic. Eventually I pull over enough for him to go by. He pulls up beside me and gives me a menacing glare and says "Does this look like a sidewalk to you?" I responded with no because bikes aren't supposed to be in the sidewalk anyways. And then he claims "I own this property. You better watch it". I felt like that was a threat and he was disrespectful the entire time. Would not recommend the service here due to that. If anyone is curious, this guy is very old, white, wears glasses, he has grey hair, and also has a grey beard and mustache. *Update* I came back later to apologize but I wanted to ask him what his problem was (respectfully) I started out and I just said "what was the issue" he started cussing me out and saying that I'm on some little lawyer bullsh*T or something and then he started to insult my mom. Eclectic selection in the vault. Owner Matthew is a consummate wheeler dealer and typically offers some crazy impossible cigar deal nearly every day. Pop in for a sandwich and a beer, then round out your visit with a terrific smoke. Be sure to sign up for the mailing list for heads up on great deals! I look forward to the next party, these are always worth being here for, sadly I've missed the last few due to travel. My wishlist includes PG and Padron, hopefully he will get these brands in someday, but in the meantime Matthew makes great recommendations and I'm forever finding something new to enjoy. I have been looking for a great cigar shop since moving to Charlotte about a month ago, and I think I found it in the 105 Cigar Co. The location is great, and the humidor is the coolest I have ever seen. The shop is in a remodeled bank, and the humidor is in the bank vault, complete with vault door. I was impressed by the selection in the humidor. They also stock a wide range of lighters and other accessories. The interior is very nice, and there are smoking areas for members and non-members alike. They also serve bottled craft beers, so I'm planning to hang around, have a smoke, and enjoy a beer next time I go. They also do cookouts and host other events, so I think I'll be coming by pretty often. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. I was greeted promptly after entering the store. The employee introduced himself, shook my hand, and showed me around. I told him some general ideas about what I was looking for, and he came up with some great recommendations. After making some recommendations, he left me to my own devices. He checked in on me and gave me a tray to carry my cigars around, but he was never intrusive and never hovered. The prices are good, and the icing on the cake was a nice Cohiba as a freebie. Even though I have a few more cigar places to check out in town, I think I might just stop my search. Note: this review is based on the humidor I bought from them. 105 cigar seems like it has a great atmosphere and the folks there are super friendly and we're attentive as soon as I walked in. On to the review (I honestly wanted to give it a 1-star review but for the sake of their reputation I left it at 3). I've been wanting a desk top humidor for a while now and after going back and forth on amazon and not truly knowing what I would get if I ordered online, I decided to just go buy one in person. Honestly I didn't want to spend a lot as I don't smoke on a weekly basis and just wanted something to hold 10-20 sticks. I grabbed one of the cheaper humidors that I saw and settled for it. The gentleman were very helpful in explaining how to prep the humidor properly and threw in some Humidor crystals for me. One of the first things I noticed when I got home was how cheap the Humidifier and Hygrometer were. They're painted, bottom of the barrel-plastic and don't even hold to the Velcro that comes with it to adhere it to the box itself. Upon reading the instructions that came with it and realizing how bad the grammar was, it only solidified my theory on how cheap it was. The box itself looks good and feels of good quality although I failed to ask what type of wood was used, so I can't completely give my opinion on the box itself. All in all I'm very disappointed with the product and could have spent $75 better I feel. read more

Enjoyed a Rocky Patel Edge while having wonderful conversation with the owner, Matthew and my friend. Very nice place with reasonably priced cigars. It was cold outside, about 20 degrees, so it was enjoyable to relax in his warm lounge. Loved the bank vault humidor, too!
