That was back before US-24 became a divided 4 lane highway. The truck stop remains, having changed hands a few times along the way. Presently, the sit down restaurant is closed, awaiting someone to take it over and put it back into operation. The restrooms are always clean, as well as the showers. They have a couple massage recliners and (I think) a video game or two. The convenience store has a decent selection of truckers stuff (CB radios,GPS units, antennas, lights, fuel additives, etc.). Typical truck stop prices. It also has snacks and refreshing drinks. They feature pizza (Hunt Brothers, I believe) by the slice. Hot coffee and tea are always available. Outside, they have 5 or 6 diesel lanes for big rigs, and multiple lanes for gasoline off to the right of the diesel. Their diesel prices are considerably cheaper than the local national chain competitors. A full service shop with 2 pull thru service bays operates during the daytime. They also have washout service for reefers. The parking lot is large and usually empty during the day. However, it fills up quickly when nightfall arrives, a situation the will continue to get worse as time goes on. All in all, a pleasant Mom-n-Pop facility that I continue to patronize in my travels through the area.

My friend had the egg salad and also got a grilled cheese. The cheese was locally made and you could tell the difference. I'm glad I got two sandwiches because there is no way I could have picked a favorite. Robin also shared that she sources eggs, honey, maple syrup, and whatever else she can locally. It definitely makes a difference. The hummus and veggies were the perfect appetizer to munch on while Robin made our sandwiches. I gotta say, the dill pickle hummus will probably reappear one night in my dreams. So good and so memorable. A couple of other quick hits: the peanut butter cookie (with PB frosting!) and a cup of Dandy Blend to wash it down. I also love that she serves filtered water and offers a variety of alternative drinks like kombucha and tumeric drinks. He claimed that I owe him the money because his worker messed up but he didn't provide any proof and he was supposed to call me and show me the CCTV and what I have purchased which he didn't and he charged my credit card without my permission for it. My mistake was that I signed the receipt without reading it! I went back to the store to tell him he was supposed to show me the CCTV and then I would pay him, what happened next was that he started insulting me and my wife and raised his voice shouting at us! He can hardly finish a sentence in English without making at least two mistakes and yet he was questioning us! He almost shouted "you can go f... ". Now about his claim: at first he said you and your friend came and bought something that cost about 15 dollars. My friends and I had bought two 6 packs a few days ago so I thought he is talking about that... so I told him about it (stupid me), then he said "ow yes you are right it was 22 dollars not 15", then I said it wasn't me who paid for that purchase. As a result suddenly he said "No you were alone!" And I was like "what? You just said you were with a friend " and he was like "No I didn't said that, you were alone!" Next I said "Ok show me what I bought and I'll pay for it" thinking about all the times I was there. He said "my other employees remembers what you bought and I have you on CCTV so I'll call you when I have proof so you can see for yourself". Meanwhile, when he said you were with a friend I thought maybe it had been my friend who didn't pay successfully so I told him it's ok to charge me for my friend and he did it even though we had all the rest of the conversation above! When I saw he has charged me 22 dollars extra I was angry so I went back to store to ask him nicely he should have stayed with what we agreed on. When we got there his other employee was there standing there looking at me being like "he looks like him " with a confused face and then adding that I had bought a 12 pack ! (I've never bought a 12 pack in my life yet to this day) so I'm nicely asking him to void the transaction and then he starts "U have signed, if it wasn't you then why did you sign!" And things like "Give me you DL and I'll return it to you when I have proof"(remember that his own employee messed up not me). At the end when I reminded him that It has been their fault not ours he shouted "it is your card that has been declined not our system"!!!!! These conversations were also filled with some occasional insulting too such as "cheap ass", "stupid" and others. So, go there if like being insulted and ripped off. Update: I called my credit card company and ask them to deduct the money he stole from me. In the process he lied again and made up yet another story but eventually at the end I got my money back. I don't care if it was a cent or a 100 dollars, I won't let a thief rip me off lying in my face, insulting me and my family.

If you've ever been to OH then you know that its totally cold or totally hot. Either way its nice to be able to stay in your climate controlled car and pick up various sundries. I've never seen another place like this. I've always wanted to open one myself...some day.
