This place has been a reliable stop for me over many years of traveling through the area…read more They do all of the things that you hope for in a low cost Mexican restaurant. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, the preparation is generous but not so fancy that they end up having to charge more. You know what you're getting in a place like this. Basic, reliable, but also delicious! I always take out as a great sign in a Mexican restaurant if the white staff has difficulty speaking English, that is the case here, lol. Having said that every server I've ever had has always been super friendly and welcoming to me. Over the years I've typically gone with their Pollo Loco, which is a simple dish prepared with thin slices of chicken over rice with cheese sauce. I have often lamented that I can't get this particular dish back home. The chicken is always tender, and the cheese sauce is always perfect. Nice crispy chips and delicious not too hot salsa complete the experience. About the only thing I haven't done here is have an alcoholic beverage, on my most recent visit my wife had a margarita and indicated it was delicious. I'm so glad this place is here, and frankly I wish they would open a location in my hometown.

Follow the BaldGuyReviews at: https://www.facebook.com/BaldWhiteGuyReviews…read more So, we packed up the GMC and headed north to move the youngest into the Oppenheimer Dorm at BGSU. Okay, fine, it's Offenhauer, but my wallet definitely feels like a nuclear bomb went off. After a chaotic day of hauling boxes, avoiding the massive herds of people, and casually checking out the dead people buried literally right in the middle of campus (seriously, what a vibe ), we worked up a serious appetite. Decided to hit up a locally owned joint: Beckett's Burger Bar downtown on Main Street. Right off the bat, I noticed something shocking. The windows were actually clean. Now, I know this is minor, but a bar with clean windows is like a politician keeping a promise--extremely rare, but you gotta respect it when you see it. Because it was move-in day, the place was packed. We gave them our number and parked it on a bench out on Main Street for some elite people-watching. #Score Honestly, observing college kids with their #LowKey main character energy is top-tier entertainment. The conservative in me wanted to yell at them to get off my lawn and get a job, but my liberal vein was like, "Wow, look at all this diverse self-expression, let them live their truth." Either way, it was a solid wait. Finally got a seat. The place was happening. And by happening, I mean the music was blasting, everyone was trying to scream over it, and the liquor was flowing--making the screaming even louder. Look, I'll own it: I am just old and white. #Guilty. The menu is legit. Tons of choices. They even had a deviled egg appetizer! I was totally down to try it, but my family overruled me for cheese sticks. We all know who makes the rules here! Seriously? Cheese sticks? #Boring My family is basic, no cap, but in the good way Most of the crew got standard hamburgers, but as the minority here, I had to venture out. I ordered the MAC & CHUNKS. (A bed of house-made mac & cheese, topped with fried jalapeños, bacon & white queso cheese, plus chicken chunks dipped in BBQ. 1/2 lb for $14.49.) Listen to me. The mac was cooked perfectly (al dente, for you fancy folks). The fried jalapeños brought the heat, the queso brought the creamy, and that BBQ tang tied it all together. This dish slapped. Seriously, it was so good it almost made me want to support a wealth tax. #Not Almost. It was ridiculously filling and absolutely bussin. #ISeeYou Highly recommend! ‍‍‍‍ 4 out of 5 BaldHeads! First time back to Juniper in a long time, and likely my last trip…read more I ordered the original chicken sandwich. The chicken was so dark and chewy and stringy I honestly could barely get it down. Came with tomato, onion, and a giant piece of soggy lettuce that I had to take off and tear apart to get on the sandwich. I got mayo, too, but you have to pay extra for it! This sandwich has no sauce on it otherwise. The fries were pretty bland as well. Would I ever get this again? Certainly not. Their online menu doesn't have descriptions for the food. That's not acceptable in 2026. And the beer menu was out of date. This makes taking a look at the menus before you visit a waste of time. Another place that I guess expects you to put your bag on the floor in the restroom, both at the sink and in the stalls. Yuck. Their saving grace is their beer, but I think I'll stick to drinking it at other places that carry it.

We were able to taste from a small selection of draft craft beers. We chose a wheat and cider but opted for the cider. Good taste. Not too sweet and a definite aftertaste of berries. Yum. The service was so quick but it was a Monday afternoon before school began. My friend ordered a churrizo burrito. I ordered a chicken wrap with fries. This place offers a coffee shop, craft cocktails wine and beer along with an unusual selection of healthy ( salads and grain bowls) to not so healthy (smash burger and fries) food. I love the spacious rooms and woodwork everywhere. Wish this place was nearby.
