He has helped me out in many tough situation when I needed an emergency haircut. As previously stated , your barber has a lot of power. I Used to drive to different places from downtown LA to Newport Beach for a haircut (crazy at first thought) but the fact that these guys and women who cut here are so focused on their craft , and are truly there for the community and customers, allows me not to think twice about making that trek far out like I used to , when they're right here in our harbor area . Cool shop and my new back up hair house. I typically go to my nephews' shop, but if he's outta town and / or off when I need a little cleanin' up, these guys do a great job for a fair price. Been here about three times and I always get a nice cut. My biggest critic, (the wifey), has approved of my cuts every time. I mean, she has to look at my ugly mug more than I do so if she's happy, I'm happy. Minuses... Street parking only and that can be a real beeyatch at times. (They're in my old hood too so I know some tricks). Cash only but that's really not a big deal as I pay cash anyway. Can get crowded but it's really hit and miss. A few of Yelpers have criticized the shaves but my momma didn't raise a fool... I trust no one but myself with a razor on my / neck face. Cool vibe and all but getting charged $50 plus tips for just the sides seems like way too much money for a haircut that didn't include a a beard trim nor even a trim to the hair up top. I've tried a lot of barbers and barber shops, none haven quite gave me the comfort and experience as this one. Conveniently a straight shot off the 110 freeway onto Gaffey. The 110 Barber Shop has the multi-talented barbers that care a lot about there craft and executing their costumers visions. A bonus is the friendly and welcoming barbers that take their time to make you feel right at home. Sometimes is uncomfortable finding a new barber and building some kind of relationship with the shop but not with them And they get the job done , and they do it damn well. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Came in here for a simple buzz cut and the haircut went fine. When it came time to pay I noticed it was a cash only business, I'm ok with this. They had an ATM inside that charged me $2 for using it and this is standard. So I payed the $2 fee on the ATM and we all know that ATMs only give out $20 bills. I handed it the barber and he told me that he had to go get change. When he came back he said he didn't have change and asked me to go across the street and get change! I was blown away by this. I went across the street and went into 4 merchants and none of them had change. So, I came back across the street and told them that no one had change and that if they were going to be a cash only business they needed to carry change. The owner reluctantly pulled out the change from his pocket and gave it to me. What the hell? He had the change the whole time! This is the worst service of any business I have ever been to. I will never go back and make sure everyone I know in San Pedro does not go here. It's such a shame that a local business owner has no idea how to serve his own paying customers. read more

The girl in this establishment is usually the one that cuts my son's hair, he's 3, and she does a pretty good job at it! Fade is perfect, the part is straight and precise. I really like it! But yesterday, I let another guy "tito" I believe, cut my sons hair. This guy was literally checking his phone every two minutes! He'd literally stop cutting my sons hair so often I was about to tell him I didn't appreciate him going to his phone and laughing while cutting my sons hair. Completely unprofessional! The fade is pretty horrible and the part isn't even straight or completely shaved, keep in mind my son stays still! After he was done, he just took my son off and didn't even brush the hairs off his face or try to style it like the girl usually does. Big disappointment! I know I could shave my own head, but I like the experience of going to a barber. It's old-school cool, and I dig it. I looked all over LA for a good barbershop. I would find good barbers once in a while, but could never keep up with them or their schedules. And since this is personal luxury, I am not about to mess with a mediocre experience or cut. Not a very good place to come in as a walk in customer. I waited an hour and no one really even attempted to show any interest in my money or cutting my hair. Very disappointed with a shave at this shop. No hot towels, said machine broken, and cold shave cream. Then applied some sort of aftershave with a dirty towel. If you guys want a good shave go to Jara's in Lomita. read more

For the price, atmosphere, and talent- this place gets five stars for sure! My husband has had probably all the guys there do his hair, and never has a single complaint! Pure talent. They do a great job, with great attitudes, and it's a family owned business that do a wonderful job of keeping things professional. It's really kind of a diamond-in-the-rough sort of place. San Pedro might not be such a "hot spot" with LA-ers, but this business is killer for a mom and pop barber's that does a clean fade or line-up. My man's happy, I'm happy. i've been here once for a haircut, other than that the 2 times i've tried going they are closed for the oddest lunch hours. For example i stopped by today at 1:20 pm, and there return time was at 2pm. A little questionable and obviously customer service is not there business. He even went in with a picture of himself with one of Sean's ( local Pedro guy) haircuts ( Sean was booked) and got his hair and beard butchered. I just went this place yesterday to get my seven year old a type of mohawk haircut. The service was friendly, place was clean. As soon as I saw their sign that they did women's haircuts as well, I talked to someone about getting a trim for me. I was overdue for a trim and my hair WAS down to my waist UNTIL the girl got scissor happy! She was so sweet but I told her I only wanted an inch cut off of my layers and about an inch or two off the bottom and she could straighten it out a little across the bottom. When she was done, she put the mirror up so I could see the back but I really couldn't see much and my children were with me who had been waiting for a long time so I just got up paid and my hair felt so much lighter but I thought it was because of the ends finally trimmed. As I walked home I wanted to put my hair up in a bun but most of my hair was gone. THE GIRL HAD CUT OFF 6-7 INCHES OF MY HAIR!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! In our conversation I had told her that it took me three years to grow it that long. How could she not see how much she was cutting off? Three years trying to grow my hair and all gone in a 30 min haircut. I have not had a chance to really examine my son's haircut since it is still in his mohawk but I am truly hoping his hair isn't SCREWED UP as well!!! So does one ask for their money back and tip? This is crap!!! How do you get compensation for them screwing up a haircut and chopping off 6 inches of your hair?
