Took my kids from Alaska there for a brunch before to left to catch a plane home to Anchorage. The service was good, the food was all good except the potato chips which was cold no crispy snap as they usually and really always are perfect and great taste but they let me down after braging to them. All rest of out meal was well to the level we've gained from eating here. Staff was really as always we have always expected and was delivered. The deserts was impressive and appreciated all of them. This is not an bad report, just an error that we were unfortunately gotten. We still have very high praise and so many outstanding meals in this restaurant and look forward to our next occasion to stop in for the wonderful great tasting food. Stopped in for dinner after being in town for hiking trip. It was very clean & nice ambiance. We were looking forward to a nice dinner as a couple. Good was incredible & so was the wild old fashion! Just wow, absolutely wow. My wife and I were staying at Chaumette Winery for my birthday. We normally eat at the Grapevine restaurant on the property but forgot to make a reservation. That led us scrambling to find a nice spot for dinner. I saw positive reviews for 12 West but we went in relatively blind. I'd only been to Farmington once before so I had no idea what to expect. First, I absolutely loved the building. Is in the Farmington Square and there are a number of older buildings that have been restored. There is also a nice coffee shop, a brewery, and some other restaurants. We just enjoyed the vibe. I'm a big fan of older buildings and enjoyed the exposed brick. The staff at 12 West was also amazing. So right off the bat it was getting positive marks for the service and ambiance. I'd say the vibe is upscale casual? We were a bit dressed up for my birthday, but plenty of people were dressed down. The food is good enough to be a destination for a classy meal, but the also reasonably priced and varied enough to have it be a lower stakes meal. In terms of the quality everything we got was fantastic. We started with a caprese salad with shrimp which we both enjoyed. I got a porkchop which is my favorite go to. My wife got a petite filet. All was excellent. My wife also got a couple of fun mixed drinks she enjoyed. So overall the food was very good, the service was outstanding, and the venue was beautiful. read more

Wow. All I can say is wow this restaurant was fabulous. Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had in my entire life. The chicken was cooked just right in the blue cheese on top made it so good and so delicious. My aunt got the salmon it was the tequila infused salmon, and she absolutely loved it, the presentation on the food was fabulous. Our waiter Robert was great to. We sat in a booth and the booth was beautiful. All the lighting was beautiful too. I genuinely wish I lived closer to this restaurant or I'd go there all the time 10 out of 10. read more

We celebrated our 49th wedding anniversary yesterday, 12/18, and had dinner last night here. We have just returned to the area after many years away. Not really aware of where to go, 12 West was recommended by some friends, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance was great and the food absolutely delicious! read more

Despite having been consistently outstanding since its opening, our experience last night was VERY different. The food quality was exceptionally poor. I'm not sure what exactly has happened, but I'm hoping this is not going to become the norm. Unfortunately, I will never know because I don't think I'll be returning; the prices aren't worth the risk. They can't depend entirely on the ambience, the good location, and their past reputation if they begin cutting corners on the food itself. Their status will inevitably diminish and they will unfortunately be out of business. I'm not sure if they had a good chef quit recently or they're under new management or what exactly has happened. read more

Since I previously wrote a bad review I need to add a comment for our most recent visit. Everything was outstanding! The food was excellent and the only thing better was the service. This could have been a tough night for them since it was homecoming. There was a lot of commotion, yet the staff was on it. They treated those young couples with great respect and still managed to take care of the family. I am already thinking about what I want to try next time. read more

Another amazing meal! Bret was our server tonight and did a fantabulous job! He recommended pork chops but that was a ton of food! I opted for small plate beef and potatoes-yum Potatoes were amazing, the beef was good and I'm glad I had it, but a bit sweet for me. Looking for a good outdoor dining option with plenty of space between tables on a Saturday night when prom students were overtaking downtown, we found space on the patio of Table 12. When it started sprinkling outside, they quickly provided umbrellas and kept everyone covered. Every drink refill, every special request, every addition was remembered and delivered. Food all arrived fresh and hot. Flavors were excellent, very well seasoned. Not a single thing to complain about. Been here many times. Service seems to be going downhill. Ordered a vodka soda with a lime. It came without one, no biggie asked server for one. She brought a dry, dirty lime to the table in her bare hand and plopped it in my drink. I was disgusted. Server also gave wrong drink to wrong person at our table. Person didn't realize it and drank a few gulps. Once the error was realized by another person running the final drink our server just took the one with drinks out of it and handed it to the right person. No offer to get a fresh one. Food was good per usual but obviously a new server in need of much more training. read more

This place was pretty good! Inside it looks amazing with stonework and design and furniture. A few of the tables were wobbly but i found one that was stable. I ordered the jambalaya and it came with soup. Which i got the seafood spinach soup and it was really good. They also had potato soup which it looked good too The jambalaya was super tasty and had a ton of food and huge shrimp on top. I gave it 4/5 stars since the taste of the jambalaya was a little bland and the soup was a tad on the cooler side. Did not ruin it but was not perfect 5 star material either. My wife have been coming to 12 West for several years. We have never have had a bad experience, it's a great place. We recently ate Saturday dinner and Sunday brunch. My wife had the petite Filet small plate. It was incredible, cooked and seasoned perfectly and the whipped potatoes were amazing. I had the orange duck... WOW! Hard to describe the flavors, it was incredible! Mojitos and Rum Runners were delicious as well Brunch was another delightful meal. I had the chicken fried steak, which was so tender and flavorful. Perfectly fried egg and fresh hash browns. My wife ordered and enjoyed the gluten free French toast and she probably would ordered more if time allows. All in all... It has become our favorite place to eat. We drive an hour and a half to get their amazing food and it's worth it every time. Amazing staff and place. read more

I love the menu. I had a hard time choosing what to order. I ended up with a great burger with jalapeno cream cheese - delicious. The sharable sides all sounded wonderful. I need to go back to try them. Another guest at my table had Shepard's Pie and said it was very good. It's very dark in the restaurant. Too dark to see the menu in some spots. The wait staff was a little slow. But I'll definitely go back to try more on the menu and hope we have a little faster service. read more

They have managed to stay too notch all through Covid and continue providing A++++++ service. Today there was something different, the food was PHENOMENAL, absolutely, completely PHENOMENAL!!! I have eaten here with family and friends many times. Why? Because the food is consistently good, The wait staff are friendly and accommodating toward customer requests. I also love that it is a clean place, thanks to the staff and owner of this establishment. Last, but by no means least, they are so busy, but manage to keep a very clean and tidy restroom which I appreciate so much.
