Today (Palm Sunday) we had a leak in the part of the roof Mike hadn't originally installed. I gingerly texted Mike to ask his advice. What I got back was well more than anything I could have expected. Mike called to tell me his supervisor, Travis, was already en route to our house. I then got a call from Travis saying he was twenty minutes out. 18 minutes later, he was at the door. He reviewed the leak inside, got his ladder and climbed up the roof and within ten minutes, was back down and showing me pictures of where he'd determined a dryer vent had let water in. Mike called me back to tell me he had a team he could send. Now. I told him it's Palm Sunday, I don't want to take your guys away from their families. Mike said, they are busy all week, this is my best chance to get this fixed. It won't take more than four hours. I agreed and within an hour, there they were at the door, ready to go. They cleared the tile, laid proper under layers - three layers in total. Then buttoned it all up again and were done within two and a half hours. I got a full set of pictures from Mike explaining every step of what was done. All this would be great on a weekday. But a Sunday? Palm Sunday? I am just in awe. From a customer perspective, it's like having a choice of hiring superheros like Mike and his team, or saying no thank you - I prefer the usual sheisters and snake oil salesmen that typically make up the roofing business. You can spin the wheel and take your chances - but for me - I just feel damn lucky to have found someone who provides this level of service and this quality of work all for a really modest price.

I rate sea breeze roofing a zero! After spending $55,0000 on…read morea new roof there was a lien placed on our home by one of the supply companies that Sea Breeze Roofing used for materials. We repeatedly called all the reps at Sea Breeze: Jacin, Sarah, and Ali to ask them to get us the release of lien from that company by paying them what they owed and we would gladly pay Sea breeze our final payment. They said they would give us a release of lien once we paid them in full. Yet we still could not guarantee that the material company was paid and they are the ones that had a lien on our house. They also owed us the warranty certificate which was part of our contract before final payment was made to Sea Breeze. They would not return our calls or emails. So, in order to have the lien released from the roofing supplier, we paid them what Sea Breeze owed them. So technically, we should only owe sea breeze the difference. We again have several emails and phone calls made to them which have been ignored. NOW Sea Breeze Roofing has sent us to collections for the full amount of the last payment owed, even after we paid their debt to the material company!

Their professionalism was present during the entire process. From discussing the project with Juan to setting up the process with July Cruz, who was always on target and in communication with me, was top notch. The crew worked an entire day until my new flat roof was completed. Everything was cleaned immediately and no mess was left. The crew is friendly and the foreman gave me feedback from time to time. The next day, Mauricio and a couple of workers waited about 6 or 7 hours for the inspector to arrive and sign off. I truly recommend Canopy. All paperwork was provided to me timely. Fast forward 19 months, and although I now have a settlement check, this company has turned out to be an absolute nightmare. CMR is facing serious cash flow issues, which is evident not just from online reviews but from firsthand horror stories, like my neighbor who had to wait THREE YEARS to get her roof fixed. Now, after all this time, I'm trying to cancel the contract and am hit with the outrageous demand of a 25% cancellation fee--something Joey Scott conveniently FAILED to mention when I signed the contract. This is unethical, dishonest, and downright predatory. My insurance claim came to $26,000 (after a deductible of $6,800), and the quote CMR gave me was magically the exact amount needed--$32,800. How convenient! This reeks of manipulation and deceit. To add insult to injury, I've gotten 10 other quotes for the same work, all ranging between $17,000 and $21,000. CMR is now trying to squeeze $8,200 from me--a hefty 25% of the $26,000 settlement and my deductible combined--just for canceling. This is robbery, plain and simple.
